Pitt from downtown late in the clock Pitt 60-50, under a min left. Terrible 1st qtr really kills HC. HC turnover - game pretty much over as we now in the fouling game.

AL with 16, 11 rebs & 7 assists, Demski 12 & Allen 11 HC wins the rebound battle 41-38. Considering how bad they played in the beginning - down 24-9, did a very good job getting back into the game. On to the PL!

Cara, I'm not surprised as she has been in a boot, Munt was in attendance, I have notice the last couple of games that he right shoulder has been taped up - hopefully not serious. She has looked good when on the floor.

HC loses the game at the free throw line 18-3. Scored the same number of field goals and out-rebounded Pitt.
Good on-ramp to the PL, plenty to work on.

Got to watch much of the first half and even while losing by a fairly large margin at that point, our ladies looked soooooo much better than our men's team. The part I saw, the big lead by Pitt was due solely to them being much larger but not for lack of team play by the Crusaders. I pretty much expected we'd close the gap, which based on posts here, they did. I like how they are playing. Amazing that our ladies had more rebounds. Good game in prep for the league games.

HC loses the game at the free throw line 18-3. Scored the same number of field goals and out-rebounded Pitt. Good on-ramp to the PL, plenty to work on. HC took 29 three point field goals out of 67 shots. Pitt took 10 threes out of 54 shots. If you are shooting from the outside that much, you aren't going to get free throws. Pitt committed nine fouls and Holy Cross committed 15.

This HC team has OOB plays, backdoor plays, and plays pretty good D The men shoot free throws better, .686 to .587. To me that's one skill that women oughta be comparable to men.

OK, rest easy. From one of the captains on the team advised me they flew to Pittsburgh and paid for their trips home and she was about to board her flight to LGA. Oh, and despite the loss, she felt it was a "great game." Great detective work. I hope the college paid for transportation back to Worcester for local players but no need to put on your Sam Spade trenchcoat to find out for me.🙂 I'm watching the replay now. Great to see an HC BB team surge in the fourth quarter and how about those fans of Demski and Cross from Erie? Maybe we should pay for their transportation to Bucknell and Colgate. Bring on the PL!

Sensible solution. Probably a similar arrangement would have been available for men's players from Philly. Very enthused about the team playing without McCormack and Munt but still giving an ACC team all they could handle.

No real detective work. I asked her and she told me. I believe any and all players who wanted to head directly back to Worcester were taken care of but they likely understood that many players would want to head directly back home especially if Worcester was in the opposite direction of where they live. I'm very happy to hear they did that. Although it's been a while since their last game before Christmas was so far from Worcester, 2016 @ ASU I think, releasing to go straight home has always been standard op IIRC. By the way, who are the captains - I don't remeber that they ever announced them.
