I’m reaching out to anyone who might be interested in being interviewed for a new book that is in the planning stages about the Worcester Legendary Icon JACK “THE SHOT” FOLEY. From his All-American basketball playing career at both Assumption Prep and Holy Cross to former players who played for him at Boys Trade and at South or Quabbin Regional High, to his many students in the WPS both at South High and at Burncoat Jr to his police work in Barre, any unique story about this remarkable man is welcome. My name is Mark “Pathfinder” Epstein. I can be reached at; mepathfinder1@gmail.com Thank You! — at Holy Cross Athletics. I did my part and sent him all the research I had. I posted it all on Facebook on the group old school Worcester which he originally posted this. No Jack Foley HC yearbook from his senior year online. Also the only Assumption prep yearbook not archived is his senior year. I really hope this book comes out and leads to a statue outside of the HART. I can dream 77 games at HC 2,185 points. 833 for 1,675 .Foley shot 497 His averages were 24.6, 27.0 and 33.3 Free throw shot .790 Made 519 Free throw's Pistol Pete 83 games 1,387 on 3,166 shots. He shot .438 Free Throw shot .775 and made 893 Free throw's Scored 3,367 points.

Thanks for all the clipppings and photos. It is very hard to shoot like The Shot did. He must have had a super strong right wrist, as with his right elbow completely extended he could not get much arm strength on his great jumper. I have never seen another player shoot that way in over 60 years of watching

I was a youngster back in Foleys days. I remember the Auditorium fans chanting "Feed the Weed" during games....I tried to shoot like Foley in the backyard, but could never master that shot, but it always felt great to try!

Early in the HC career of Ron Perry jr. Jack the Shot was asked if he was worried about Ronnie breaking his scoring records. Jack replied "He's already broken my passing records."
