Massey makes the HC women a 10 point favorite (63-53) and gives them an 82% chance for the win. Loyola is currently 3-7. Their 3 wins came at home against FDU (in OT), Mt St Mary's, and UMBC.

No Munt, Berger, Huber or McCormack against Navy. McCormack appears injured, Huber appears to be being brought along slowly but what about Munt and Berger who have each been contributing? Coaches decision to tighten the rotation for league play?

Loyola is clearly in a rebuilding mode under their new coach - who replaced Joe Logan who had held the job for 17 years despite a 184-287 record. They did add two interesting freshmen in the spring: (1) Lex Therien, whose oldest sister was a star for Loyola a couple of years ago, is 3rd in the league in rebounding and top 20 in scoring. She originally signed with Boston U but decommitted after Moseley left for Wisconsin. And (2) Laura Salmeron is a backcourt regular from Spain. Originally signed with Syracuse but decommitted after the Quinton Hillsman abuse scandal. She was familiar with Loyola due to the Spaniards on their men's team. Both of these frosh are playing about 33 mpg. Therien at this point seems to be one of three candidates for PL ROY. Btw, hockey fans will be familiar with her dad, who was a regular defenseman for they Flyers for over a decade.

This, apparently, will not be a "back-to-normal" season for college basketball.
