Welp! I think it’s fair to assume he’s done for the year. Hopefully that isn’t the case

Did anybody watch the Navy game the other evening? Patrick Dorsey was in the lineup, and in that game, he was better offensively than his brother and similar defensively. I would like to see Dorsey at the point for 30 minutes the next three games to see what he can do- Perhaps his offense will pick up a bit?

This RJJ news significantly lessens any even small hope for improvement this season,

Are you saying his frosh year did not count?

Are you saying his frosh year did not count? No he is saying he gets three years in addition to his frosh year plus the free Covid year. This year wouldn't count if he is done for the season. His interest and Coach's interest may diverge towards the end of the season. Lean towards the player.

Trimster said he will still have 4 years of eligibility left if he leaves. That would give him 5 years and one redshirt year wouldn't it? (6 years in all)

Are you saying his frosh year did not count? Last year, per the NCAA, didn’t count due to the uncertainty heading into the season over Covid. In the eyes of the NCAA, HC has ten frosh and two juniors on scholarship. Butler and Faw got their extra year due to Covid.

As I just posted, last year didn’t count for anyone and I assume he is going to get a medical redshirt for this year. It’s possible he could play for HC the next two years, graduate in 2024 and have two years of eligibility left. Perhaps he would need a waiver to play 4 years in 6. I don’t know what the rules are in that regard. I believe the rule about medical redshirts is you can’t play in more than 1/3 of your team’s games. I also have no idea if he is going to miss the rest of the season.

It would make zero sense for RJ to play again this season given that we’re going nowhere and a few games at the end would cost him a year of eligibility.

Unless lightning strikes twice and RJJ comes back from injury like Eric Green did.

I hope Patrick Dorsey can teach his bro Nolan how to shot - our Dorsey does not have a good stroke and his shooting pct reflects that

He might want the extra year But
Sometimes you have an experience that kills your love and passion
I am not suggesting anything mor rhan a plausible possibility
I certainly pray that is not the case and only a longshot possibility

Few minutes Sent into defend I will take my chances with a player who can make a pass to a player with a similar jersey
More minutes more offense
If not you learned more about the roster and the potential make up of your team
