We're in the first stages of March Madness, so what better time is there to fire up the ol' Crossports Tournament Challenge bus to begin the trip to the finals tip-off in New Orleans on April 4th. Brackets won't be out until March 13th, but you can sign up any time now at the link below. Click the Join A Group button and join Patriot League Cohorts. The password is plhoops. Any and all Crossporters, their family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, not bookies, etc. are welcome to join and compete for the coveted mythical (but very nifty) championship trophy. In the spirit of fair competition let's stick to one bracket per person - or if you want to torture yourself, more than one bracket but clearly designate which one is the "official" one - before the games begin, of course.
This is a spirited competition every year and defending champion C-Mo will not go down easily.

I'm tied for #261 in The Jerome at this point--did anyone else enter this great annual competition?

I'm in- I don't know if I participated last year. Looking forward to a decent finish, i.e. not embarrassing
One year I'd like to find a way (other than manual recording) to run the classic 1-64 points assignment pool, to me the most enjoyable type of pool.

KY, I don't think you played this last year, unless you had one of the brackets that were entered under a name I didn't recognize. And don't worry about being too embarrassed by your final standing. I usually manage to corner the market on embarrassing picks. Reminder for everyone - brackets must be completed by noon-ish Eastern Time tomorrow.

So, I watched Colorado State play at some point during the season and really liked them. I picked them to win three games. Off to a great start.

I’d love to see the video of McCrybaby and his loathsome spouse as the clock ticked down the final seconds

As someone who picked Kentucky in our Crossports challenge, if anyone wants to ignore my basketball posts in the future, I'll understand

The loss to St Peters is unbelievable-- If I open my front door and listen carefully I can hear shouts of despair coming from every direction. I can only imagine what the C-J will say tomorrow.
and Kentucky took 35 free throws to 21 for St Peter's

St. Peter’s did what HC almost did but couldn’t in 2001-2002? when HC lost to UK by 4 in the first round at the Nassau Coliseum. Another 2 vs. 15 seed game or am I mistaken?

I’ve been playing in these bracket contests since the mid 80s. This has to be one of my worst first days ever—and I loved it.😀
