Jacob Dobbs come in at #44 in the Athletic's Top 100 college football freaks for 2022:
The Article has a paywall but I cut/pasted the Dobbs profile:
44. Jacob Dobbs, Holy Cross, linebacker
NFL scouts like his tape and think he’s an intriguing prospect who is really instinctive. He has been a team captain since his sophomore year and has been a tremendous leader for the three-peat Patriot League Champion Crusaders. In 2021, he received All-American honors and was the league’s defensive player of the year; he notched 137 tackles, 17.5 TFL, 9.5 sacks, 6 quarterback hurries, and 3 PBUs. His athleticism is also evident in the Holy Cross training program, where the 6-0, 235-pounder with just 9 percent body fat has power-cleaned 365; vertical-jumped 36.5 inches, run a 4.65 laser-timed 40; done a laser-timed 4.02 pro shuttle; clocked 22.57 mph in a game and bench pressed 435.

Jake has said publicly that in training preparation for his pro-day that he thinks can run a 4.6 flat or faster and believes he can get 30 on the 225 bench (which is utterly ridiculous for someone ~230-235 lbs) He hit 370 on his clean which tied for the team high with Kuz pre camp. He’s definitely closer to 5’11 flat than 6’0 but that’s not a huge deal. I’d be curious to see Jake’s 10 and 20 yd split in his 40 compared to Anderson. I guarantee it’s the last 20 yards when Anderson gets to that 4.5 flat with his stride. I noticed it on his G’Town pick 6 that he kicks into another gear.

Not a better pair of LB's in the Country! The D is so experienced at all 3 levels. Just need interior guys to hold their ground and I think this will be the best D HC has had in a long time!

The combination of starters at DE, LB and secondary all best group of 9 players since …. Just need the younger DT/NGs to rise to the occasion and let our dudes run around and make plays.
