"Coach Bob Chesney has done a phenomenal job with the Crusaders. Can they replicate last year's successful 10-3 record? We'll learn a lot about this year's team within their first three games (at Merrimack, at Buffalo, vs. Yale)."
Yep!

URI looking good too (they are at 15, HC at 13…no other New England teams in the top 25).
Not sure I love the fact we have 0 FCS opponents in this year’s FCS top 25 (by this poll).

Harvard and Yale could make a case for 'also receiving votes' but the PL would not have another team even if the list went up to 50 (with the possible exception of Fordham)

I’d easily put a healthy Fordham team in top 50. IMO, out toughest opponents on paper right now looks as follows: 1) Buffalo - by a lot. Tons of new Power 5 transfers this year from the likes of Florida State, Louisville etc. while also being year 2 for this staff. 2) Harvard - we know they have top 25 talent. Ivy gets punished in preseason rankings whether it’s an explicit or implicit bias since they are irrelevant post season (anchoring) 3) Tie Yale and Bryant - both in the 25-35 IMO 5) Tie Fordham and Merrimack 7) Colgate

/\ IMHO Harvard is our toughest FCS matchup. We’ll be favored. We play Yale at a VERY favorable time.

A weird time of the year to have an OOC game in November. If everything goes according to plan, there's a chance we could have already won the league at this point in the season. Bryant, while picked to finish fifth in the Big South, was 7-4 last year, beating SHU by two scores, tied with Akron (albeit a bad FBS team, but FBS nonetheless) in the 4th quarter, and beating Merrimack by 44 points. Given that this game is on senior day for us, I have no doubt we will come out flying, so you'd like to believe this won't be a trap game.

We're right behind "Prime Time" without having to listen to him go on and on. Coach Chesney has that Jesuit precision of thought and expression that Dr. Fauci talks about.
