I’m a little disappointed in the constant digs at the basketball program - really not necessary Sorry to be a contrarian but I’m rooting for the team this year and wont be sniping at the roster

Not really because the football program has 2 and 3 star hoop player There are also a few players who were excellent lacrosse players who held D1 offers.

The contract has an expiration date. HC will make a decision in it's best interest in due time. This team could click like all the other portal gerrymandered rosters have the opportunity to. The players as well as coaches have a say in how they gel and we can't tell how that will pan out yet. Let's at least enjoy our perfect 0-0 record during the pre-season.

Agree but there might be talent on campus that could accelerate improvement we all want to get better- I just don’t want to lose time God Bless and appreciate your thoughts and perspective It's always possible.

Look I apologize for taking this thread in the wrong direction, it is just about making all sports better I will drop the topic and welcome both fall and winter sports I always thought that some of the WBB forwards and centers who spent four years of weight training would make great Softball slugging pinch hitters in the Spring of senior year, but D-1 prep for each sport is year round now so it isn't that easy and they must feel relief to finally not be in training for a couple of months of college.

Not really because the football program has 2 and 3 star hoop player Who? What D1 basketball offers did they have out of high school? Why didn’t they decide to play basketball over football? It’s not hard to make statements with zero facts to back it up, I’ll give it a go: Chesney had gotten zero production from TE and have seen a lot of drops from WR, he should speak with Coach Nelson about Kenney and Gates because of their superior size, athleticism, and hand eye coordination compared to the football team.

Ok, gentlemen - let’s move any bball talk elsewhere - I’m anxious to see the depth chart so let’s talk about that here
purple we all want WINS and some of us are no longer willing to accept what some suggest as incremental improvement
we should be, and our history demands we are a top 100-125 team every year. We must not accept less if we are going to represent all of those who made thi program in the 20th and 21st Centuries
We can no longer accept less than excellence in coaching, recruiting and performance. If we do the last years are on all of us and not the staff. Players who are not well coached and prepared can no longer be blamed for all we have had to observe, and they had to endure.
nelson must step up or be asked to step away
Well, I'm not sure what history is currently demanding of us but we've certainly accepted questionable results for quite some time. As I recall, history had demanded our best coach in recent history win a first round NCAA tourney which he never did.
Probably a better spot is the bball board.
