Former Huskies Coach Kevin Ollie has reached a settlement with UConn which will pay him $3.9M. Ollie will drop all ongoing suits against the school. This amount is separate from the
$11.1M that UConn paid to him earlier this year per an arbitration ruling that deemed he was improperly fired. In all, UConn will have paid Ollie some $15M to get rid of him. This amount however does not cover the legal costs that the school itself incurred trying to fire him without paying the remainder of his contract. That figure is probably also in the million dollar range as this has dragged on for four years.

As a CT taxpayer this doesn't make me feel too good about our state university.

Reading about the supposed violations, it's amazing what the NCAA focuses its efforts on in their show trials to convince us that they actually care about corruption:

Ollie should make himself available to hire out as a financial advisor. Career investment to financial return was amazing.
