Found out recently that my son is playing in an NERR tourney in Boston that weekend. Really hope his game times work out so we can get to the Harvard game. Could bring 10 loud 8th grade boys and dress them all in purple.

Section 8 is apparently the HC section, right near midfield. This game will be a battle for New England supremacy. Odds are both teams will be undefeated. UNH got spanked by the Eagles. The North Carolina Central Eagles. So they can pipe down. Rhody got spanked by Delaware in the Munchkin State Super Bowl, so they also can be quiet for now.

“Munchkin State Super Bowl”— don’t know whether you made that up or if it has been used before, but I love it!

Not a native Rhode Islander but this is an unnecessary cheap shot. First, Delaware has had a long history of football success, arguably better than us in D-IAA history. URI has not been a slouch but occasionally has fallen on hard times. Both states "punch above their weight" in FCS football over the years.

I believe the comment was directed at the size of each state as opposed to its teams or residents.

I see parking for the game can be purchased online for $20 or paid for at the game. It has been a good century of imperial rule since Harvard Stadium was last graced with my presence. Does anyone know if there is free parking available nearby?

I paid the $20 but years ago I got there early and parked on the street for free about 1/4-1/2 mile away. Subsequently, the lady 2-3 times I just paid to park near the stadium. At my age, it’s worth it to avoid the hassle as I believe this will be a large crowd.

Ok. Tickets procured. We'll probably try to park at HBS and walk across.

They havent made the playoffs since the 1980s, despite playing in a league that has regularly produced 3-4 playoff bids. The Munchkin State reference is not a dis to the football programs (although in URI case it fits the narrative) but a reference to fact that RI and DE are two smallest states in the US in terms of sq mi.

I assumed it was related to the massive number of Dunkin’ franchises everywhere you look in RI.
