ESPN says attendance was 2,269, but I would put it a little north of that. A lot of purple in the stands. 1987 guys had their own tailgate in addition to the HC Club tailgate. Cold yet clear and no wind. Coach Chesney and staff were all smiles after the game. Beautiful day to go 11-0!
Penalties were killer but this game was never in doubt. I feel confident we’ll get the first round bye!

Looking around seemed 2500 plus which for Gtown was pretty good I think That's what happens when you burn out an entire fan base. 40,000 alumni within an hour of campus and they've lost hope. 12 consecutive home losses. 10 consecutive losing seasons. 25-103 in Patriot League play.

I thought after GU demolished the east stands that seating capacity fell to 2,500 or so.

Think 3400, but could be wrong PP According to GU, West side stands seating for 3,000 people North endzone hillside lawn seating for 750 people Those totals account for the demolition of the east stands.

Georgetown hasn't cleared 3,000 in over a decade. The fan base is gone.

Sluka's QB rating for the game: 314.6.. I wonder if that is highest ever for HC QB? I can't find single game passer ratings for either HC or the PL. I can only find single season and career in the PDF record books.

Penalties still a problem but our running game didn’t seem to lose anything with Oliver out today. Fuller did a nice job carrying the bulk of the load. Purdy is a nice change of pace back with good hands out of the backfield. Although he only had one carry, Rivers showed a big burst and great outside speed. I’d like to see more of him.

Only disappointment offensively was not watching Slader Slade did not make the trip. Only brought 4 RBs: Fuller, Purdy, Forrest and Rivers.

Understand, but would hope his quickness and speed would have earned him a few reps this year
I also appreciate the depth we have at the position

Rivers looked great at the end. I wish he kept it in bounds to run more clock. Hopefully we made it out without any injuries. Certainly did not see anything serious.

I think GTown's lack of football interest stems from not having a D1 program from 1950-2000 or so....most of their alumni have no institutional memory of D1 college football.

CB Kamryn Molton suffered a serious leg injury during one of our kickoffs and was carted off. Sad to see that. Similar injury that Matt Kane suffered during a kickoff a couple of years ago.

Georgetown went I-AA in 1993. Most of the alumni have no institutional memory of winning college football. Since 2001, Georgetown's record is 67-151 (.307), with one winning season (only Cornell has had as few in the Northeast). It hasn't won a home game in three years. There are no games on local TV or radio to reach people in DC who don't come on campus to follow the team. Where would HC be after ten consecutive losing seasons? At some point, people just stop caring.

Sluka's QB rating for the game: 314.6.. I wonder if that is highest ever for HC QB? In the record book I could not find a single game record for QB rating (passing efficiency?) but for a season the highest is Jeff Wiley’s 163.0. Sluka is at 180.71 season to date. This assumes we are using the same calculations as were used in prior seasons. Career highest is Dom Randolph at 143.1. I wonder also if Matt’s 25-3 ratio of TD passes to Ints is best ever??
