Jen Tolland has a nice article this morning about the close family atmosphere among the coaching staff and how the wives and kids and players are part of the program.
Will post it later unless 45 or someone else beats me to it.

Sader1970, thanks for sharing this. Coach Chesney and staff are truly special people along with being fabulous football coaches. As Crusaders, we truly have much to be grateful for in terms of the pride, glory and honor being brought to Holy Cross by all those connected to HCFB.
Truly great days to be a Crusader.

Really good article. Clearly, the work/life atmosphere Chesney has created helps have a successful program. I learned a few things: I knew Chesney's father was a sideline presence but didn't know he was actually part of the staff; and that Scott James commutes from Maine (as someone who has done extreme commutes he has my respect).

Bob Sr. did tell us he rents a place 4 months a year but retains his PA residence. He is not listed on the football website as on the staff and have always assumed and the article doesn’t make me change my opinion that he is an unpaid volunteer (other than maybe he gets free HC football shirts, etc.).
He is a super guy and think I previously posted that one of my sons said after meeting him, “now I know where Bob Jr. gets his personality.”
Like the coach, he’s a positive, upbeat guy. And, family first while the players and coaches and staff are part of the extended family. That’s why I really believe it’ll take more than money to lure him from Holy Crosd and Worcester.
