The Grambling-Southern game at the Superdome outdrew all 8 FCS playoff games combined, at least on paper. It’s because Southern has the marching band from jaguar land! Aka the “Human Jukebox” What a SHOW !

If this game doesn't sell out something is wrong. For Merrimack this has to be a big game. You would think a NCAA home playoff game would draw more than 4163 people too... 2,989 in Durham yesterday.

Kind of different for these huge state schools with mostly local students bodies. UNH should be embarrassed. Most students at UNH are from NH and most people in NH live in Southern NH so you are right, thousands live within an easy drive. To be fair this is a Thanksgiving 4-day weekend when campuses empty out (within and across state borders FWIW) Wednesday and the kids come back Sunday. Seemed a respectable UNH crowd given the circumstances (judging by the crowd shots…official figures will vary). I didn’t see much of a Fordham contingent as part of the crowd. I suspect an HC-UNH matchup would’ve drawn a bit more.

I can see a good contingent of Wildcat fans coming down. I remember a decent UNH crowd to add to our 8300 total from the last UNH game.

You could take that to the bank. Durham is a lot closer to Worcester than the Bronx and Crusader fans travel well. I've been up to HC games at UNH multiple times and always a very large contingent in purple and those weren't for special games other than their inaugural re-christening of their renovated stadium. As I've also posted in the past, the folks up in NH were very, very welcoming despite or because of our HC attire. They seemed to appreciate our attendance every time I've been there. They are almost as friendly as midwesterners!

UNH probably has more alums in Metro Boston than in any other market-should be an easy drive for many Wildcat fans.

I’ll do my part while wearing purple on the I290 side of the stadium 😀
There is no visitors side at Fitton!! It’s our house…..

Beside the early turnovers, the key point of the game was early in the 4th quarter
Here's the
UNH kicked a field goal to go up 45 - 35.
Fordham got the ball on the following kickoff at the 25 with 10:35 left to play.
1st Down: Pass - Incomplete 2nd Down: Pass - Incomplete 3rd Down: Pass - Complete for -1 4th Down: Punt
UNH ran 3 plays and lost a fumble on the 4th play. Fordham ball on their own 45 with 7:36 left.
1st Down: Pass - Complete for 1 yard 2nd Down: Pass - Incomplete 3rd Down: Pass - Incomplete 4th & 9: Pass - Incomplete Turnover on downs.
They had the opportunity and when they needed it most, Fordham's high powered offense ran 7 pass plays for 0 net yards.

Supports my earlier point that Fordham abandoned the run too early in this game.

Per Sagarin HC is a 6 1/2 point favorite vs UNH.

Per Sagarin HC is a 6 1/2 point favorite vs UNH. Massey has us as 5 1/2 point favorites, 31-26 with a 61% chance of victory. AGS is reporting Vegas has us as 8 1/2 point favorites although I couldn't verify it.

Based on being undefeated and seeded, yes. Based on ease of victory over common opponent Fordham, no. Get ready for an old fashioned rock fight between these two fine institutions.
