Our one losing game. Realistically HC had to win the first twelve games to earn the national TV slot in the thirteenth so it is all good. Certainly many neutral viewers were rooting for the spirited underdog.

Wow What a difference between the two stations ESPN may want to do all our games next season

I think the fact that it was a Saturday afternoon with absolutely no sports programming competition (aside from WC which started probably around halftime) helps account for the inflated numbers vs. Friday night too. Many households have TV's tuned in to sports on weekends, I know one member of my staff commented that her family watched a good deal of the HC game...I am pretty sure they did not watch any of the Friday games.

Several hundred thousand more also saw it on SVP's "Bad Beats" segment on Sportscenter last night following the Pats-Cardinals Monday Night Football game...

At the end of the segment, one host was wearing the HC helmet with the Crusader on a horse. Can’t have that! LOL!

As an until-death-do-me-part Cleveland Browns fan, I was listening to their morning drive radio show yesterday. The hosts were lamenting their decision to go for a 4th and 1 on their opening drive this past weekend. The lead host’s quote on his opening point was “This is professional football. Kick the FG and take the points. This isn’t Holy Cross playing Ohio State and pulling out all the stops as an overmatched opponent.”
That was said ONLY because they were on ESPN Saturday, no doubt about it.

A great game for the College's brand. I hope TPTB keep that in mind going forward when it comes to support for HC athletics...ESPECIALLY MEN'S BASKETBALL... which desperately needs a "take it down to the studs" remodeling.

I'm not sure how accurate the rumor is, but I hear the admissions staff is dealing with significantly more applications this year. There are probably several factors, but don't discount the impact the football season might have.

There are probably several factors, but don't discount the impact the football season might have. I hope that rumor proves to be true. On this board I have asked in prior threads what effect the Prior PAC may be having on applications and admissions. Maybe we have multiple factors working to our benefit, increasing brand awareness and stimulating trial

Hopefully there are some future Rhodes Scholars in the bigger pile of apps.

Love what football is doing for the admissions department. Might help with transfers.

How about a new president, a new Vice President for Enrollment Management, and what I assume is a new approach to attracting and recruiting potential students.
not that the other things have not contributed but I'd think the above is most likely the largest factor impacting applications.

Agree with all of the above, but it is hard to put a percent impact on each area at this point but certainly think the fall football season has helped in the northeast.
