Woodward will get his degree. His first year at Colgate was the corona season. Never realized Woodward came a year after Records.

Harvard’s star freshman guard, Malik Mack, just entered the portal.

That is at least two star frosh guards from the Ivies that have entered the portal. If the Ivies start having problems retaining underclassman, that doesn’t bode well for low and mid majors.

Dreams/delusions of bigger things. Probably expecting too much from a teenager, but a Harvard degree is going to open more and better doors than 99 percent of the kids playing major college ball will get to see. I might go out and buy a powerball ticket, but I'm not going to sell my future short counting on it to hit

Perfect example of where the real priorities are. Sure, they are student athletes, but when kids start saying "meh" to the Harvard degree in favor of playing ball at a place with a little more basketball exposure, it becomes very clear.

Obviously something has changed since then.

Both Mack and Perkins and their families must have arrived at that conclusion before committing to Harvard and Penn. Obviously something has changed since then. NIL $$$$? Perhaps. Going back to my prior thought, if you transfer to a power conference school that has crappy academics (let's call this hypothetical school B.C.) and they give you $20K over and above your scholarship, how long will it take with that Harvard degree to to outpace the B.C. degree by 20K. Once again, still expecting too much from a teenager who thinks he's Jeremy Lin Semi off topic, how high do you have to be on the NCAA food chain to give serious money to the role players on a team? - not talking about the team superstar

If a youngster does not want a degree from Hahvahd, Penn, Holy Cross then my response is" get the hell outta' here." You do not belong at these fine institutions. Go! These guys will long be gone but these legendary colleges will continue to glow in the celestial firmament of great colleges. Grumpy Gus.

"Students" wanting to be paid like pros will need to adjust to being treated like pros by many fan bases, maybe even this one. I've always tried to be careful about being critical of players, whether online or at a game, but I'm wondering if my attitude will change if I find a player is financially readier for retirement than I am. Only partially kidding.

Jeff Woodward of Colgate has entered the portal. With both Records and Woodward leaving it seems like Colgate may be coming back to the pack in the PL. I wonder if Braeden Smith enters the Portal - his profile may not be as high as it is right now.

Moffatt has exhausted his eligibility also. Thomson also. That is a lot of front court firepower to replace. I thought they had some decent young wings this year.

Portal is steaming towards 1000. Currently at 976. That is D1 only. I believe D2 is around 600.

Did Joe Pridgen tell him how great UNCW was for him ? Joe left with the previous coaching staff. Since he left, they gone 27-9, 24-10 and 21-10. For overall losing records in a college career, Joe and Martindale are going neck-and-neck.

btw, another Bona player has entered the portal. That leaves them, at the moment, exactly one player eligible to return who saw the floor this season.
