Any predictions? Odds on favorites?

I hope it’s someone similar to coach Chesney. A young up and comer with a tireless work ethic. Engaging and enthusiastic with a proven, effective strategy.

I have no idea but I do wonder who is minding the store while the top seat is vacant. As they say recruiting never ends and that applies to the current players more than ever right now. The ink wasn’t dry on the Buffalo Coach being fired and two of his players entered the portal.

Certainly the odds on some players considering leaving are greater than others.
Rising seniors and/or those who have already transferred once fairly low; although still possible.
Not having a person close to being brought in is a big concern. Although, all due respect to "why4", not like the record could get any worse.

The ink wasn’t dry on the Buffalo Coach being fired and two of his players entered the portal. Keeping in mind that Gates is graduating, I guess it would be less than optimal if we lost a significant number of players from our returning group. If we do, there might be a way for the new coach to bring in a very large recruiting class for his second year. Not necessarily a bad thing.

I have to think that Becker of Vermont is the favorite, but certainly not even money

Even with zero defections, that second year will be a big class And there won't be much chance to add to the two (keeping my fingers crossed) recruits coming in save for via the transfer portal. It's late already and, as we all know "nationwide searches" aren't all that timely.

I have to think that Becker of Vermont is the favorite, but certainly not even money Putting other issues aside, I would say that barring a Vermont advance to the Sweet 16; if there aren't some solid rumors about the man a week from tomorrow, he ain't comin'. It would be foolish to have a candidate who the school wants who is available not come aboard as soon as possible.

(Not saying any/all will be returning for that Covid year but something to keep in mind.)

I have to think that Becker of Vermont is the favorite, but certainly not even money Becker is VERY happy at Vermont and why would he want to do a lateral move (I actually consider it a downgrade) besides being next to his girlfriend at work?

Well, if you think HC is a coveted D-1 powerhouse program it makes sense a highly successful northeast mid-major coach would love to step up to the big time. If you think HC is a weak PL cellar dweller with a dwindling fan base it makes no sense at all.

Well, if you think HC is a coveted D-1 powerhouse program it makes sense a highly successful northeast coach with a proven recruiting record would love to step up to the big time. If you think HC is a weak PL cellar dweller with a dwindling fan base it makes no sense at all. Good thing that it only needs to make sense to one person.

No retreads, need someone with spit and vinegar who is going to take names and turn this program around big time.

My choice would be Andy Sachs with Torey and RJ as assistants.

I see Sachs backed up by RJ and TT ss a Holy Cross coaches' dream team. Of course, I am pessimistic enough to not expect to see it.
