Holy Cross WBB has two paid openings for Assistant coaches. Avery is forty miles away in an unpaid position studying for an unnecessary second master's degree.
I'm calculating her arrival back in Worcester to be in 7-10 days. Is my math correct?

I look forward to the day we see her back in Purple...wishing her good luck in the meantime.

Do you really want her coaching two classes of kids who were her teammates and are presumably still her friends? I can't see how that could be good for anyone.

Good points. This is the career track these days. DOBO or grad assistant before becoming a D-1 assistant coach is common. Good luck to Avery. How does a grad assistant earn a living?

Believe for most grad TAs that their coursework is free and get a stipend (pay?) for their teaching work. I would imagine for Avery that her BC courses are paid for as she gets her 2nd masters and will get paid, not a lot, but something for her coaching.

Exactly how it worked at BC when I was there for two years after HC graduation. When rumors swirled about King Gaskins going to BC; I kept thinking he was going to show up in one of my classes.
