Per Adrian Wojnarowski:
"Charles Lee is finalizing a deal to join the Boston Celtics as the lead assistant coach, sources tell ESPN. Lee had been the associate head coach with Milwaukee and a finalist for the Toronto and Detroit head jobs."

Good for Charles! What kind of salaries do NBA assistant coaches get--ballpark?

At his high level,$500,000 + Maybe even more. This is a good hire. I like Joe Mazzulla but his inexperience was an issue this year. It's true that the NBA is a players league, but it's also a coaches league. Coaches make a big difference, and a successful staff needs coaches who can nurture but also get in the face of young stars. Lee has a lot of credibility and will add a lot to the staff.

At his high level,$500,000 + I think quite a bit higher. I’d be surprised if he is not making at least $800,000 based on what other associate head coaches are making. He is very experienced, has coached an NBA title winner, and has been a finalist for four or five head coaching Jobs in the past two years.
