I happened to see this on LinkedIn since I long since cancelled my ProJo subscription but Reynolds, a great sports writer IMO, passed away. Here's my comment:

Did he write a book about Chris Herren and another about the Cooz ? Fall River Dreams was about Herren. And a book fittingly called, Cousy.

I know he wrote a couple of books but don’t recall right now. He wrote several, one on Cousy. I do think a few of these are a different Bill Reynolds, but the sports books are most certainly his. www.paperbackswap.com/Bill-Reynolds/author/Always enjoyed his Projo notes columns when I spotted that paper somewhere; although being from Metro Boston, a lot of his inside RI (and Providence specifically) jokes went right by me.

I have one of his books: "Our Game - A History of New England College Basketball". Really enjoyed it; it included a chapter on HC.

Bill Ballou, retired Red Sox beat writer for the T&G responded to a couple of emails and kept the chain going. He is a true sports fan as well as a good reporter. He is a fan of the Blackstone River rail trail like our poster RF1. I think he canoed the river for a series of columns if I'm remembering correctly.

Bill Reynolds did a prep year at Worcester Academy between Barrington High and Brown.
