BC, UMass, UConn, Army, Buffalo, Syracuse, Temple, Rutgers, Pitt as a regional FBS conference leaving four OOC games for each team, including one or two games vs HC each year?

Something like this will happen whenever the ACC splits up. Rutgers obviously isn't leaving the Big Ten. Duke and Wake Forest would probably end up being aligned with the schools you mentioned.

Now Stanford and Cal will forget what coast they are in and may come to the ACC And then there were 2. = the PAC 2 Last one out, turn the lights off.

All the UConn speculation seemed to have died down, guess they weren't that attractive to the Big 12 after all.

UConn is the strongest overall Athletic Dept. in New England, no? And King of their media markets like a "fly over" State University often is, no? What's not to like.

Those teams have Big 12 geography on their side. All those states also have one or more pro teams and multiple FBS level teams to divvy fan interest up among. I think UConn is a hidden gem.

Back to the thread topic... Stanford apparently is so desperate to join the ACC (and flee the PAC-4) they are willing to waive their entire share of the ACC media rights... Stanford University has consistently been behind the conference realignment eight ball. While the rest of the Pac-12 Conference has abandoned ship over the past month, Stanford was caught napping. And now it’s paying a substantial financial price.According to the Associated Press, Stanford informed the remaining Pac-4 schools that they’re desperate to leave for the ACC. How desperate?Desperate enough that they’re essentially willing to join the conference for free. Literally. For free. The AP’s source said that leaders from Stanford and the other three schools spoke Thursday, with the Cardinal saying they would leave for a significantly discounted portion of the ACC’s media rights fees. Or for none of it, assuming they’re invited.www.outkick.com/stanford-informs-remaining-pac-4-teams-it-will-join-the-acc-for-free/There have been many reports that Cal and Stanford are willing to take a steeply discounted media rights share and are hoping this will flip one of the four ACC "No" votes.
