92, a rhetorical question, right? You already know the answer.
After all, it is a Holy Cross team we are talking about here.

Nice bounce-back win by our ladies - next up UMass Lowell (0-3-3) Sunday - a chance to get to .500 on the season - that hasn't been done in a very long time

Nice bounce-back win by our ladies - next up UMass Lowell (0-3-3) Sunday - a chance to get to .500 on the season - that hasn't been done in a very long time Maybe not as long as it seems. As I recall, HC finished with a winning record as recently as 2019.

I noticed that in the Massey ratings, the patriot league currently is in 14th place out of 32 conferences. Ahead of the Atlantic 10 - and WAY ahead of America East, the MAAC, and the NEC. Looks like it may be a good overall year,, although it is still early.

Women had a tie 0-0 tonight vs Army in a tough defensive match.
Beginning to see improvement and the positive results should follow

As I just reported to my Classmates, our ladies seem to specialize in tie games, having tied the last 3 games 0-0 (Army, AU, BU).

Good defense but no offense?

The few games that I've been able to watch either in person or on ESPN+, that's exactly the issue.

It may also be the defense and midfielders being able to hold their ground pretty well but rarely able to get the ball to their front line.
My local high school is the same; except for goals against the perennial league doormat; they're lucky to score 5-7 in a season. Good enough to make games against the other teams 0-0 or close losses; but that's it.

I watched the second half of the Bucknell game. HC was outshout 10-4 in the first half but came out and dominated the second half. it was impressive--except for the fact that they struggle to put the ball in the net. They looked to me like a well coached team though.

Nice Dub today by our women - broke out of their scoring slump with a 2-1 win over Lehigh at home - this team is indeed showing progress

With the win, HC jumps up into the 6th spot - a position that would qualify them for the PL tournament. PL Standings:
Loyola 12 points Bucknell 11 Boston U 10 American 10 Army 10 Holy Cross 9 Colgate 7 Lehigh 7 Lafayette 6 Navy 3 points
HC is on the road Saturday to face 1st place Loyola.

They should name the Nickerson Field "Pitch" for Spahn and Sain who actually pitched there. Have the ceremony after a "day of rain."π

I can't remember seeing or hearing about that before. It's up there with the snow plow game and the guy who had recently been cut from the team coming out of the stands to play after active players were injured.
