Isn’t it odd that the release doesn’t mention that he replaced the coach who passed away two weeks ago? I similarly thought the announcement of Coach Nestle’s death by HC was strange—they simply published the obit with no statement by Kit or anyone else.

M&W tennis wrap up their seasons this weekend and next. At Annapolis, it was the women today, seeded 9th and last (for the umpteenth time) vs. perennial no.8 Lafayette - 4-0 loss to the 'Pards with no competitive matches, which takes our record to 1-12 (thank you Mt. Holyoke). We were shut out in 9 of our 12 losses this season. Maybe the men can fare better next weekend.

No seniors on the women's team this year, but five out of nine are juniors which could help next year. Hope they have room for a few good freshmen.
Also only one foreign student, from "the rock" Newfoundland. Not exactly a tennis hotbed. I like the pattern of the two field hockey players from England, and one each from Scotland, British Columbia and South Africa where field hockey is played more. CAF money would be well spent in recruiting internationally for the minor sports. Broadens HC's reach overall.
Field Hockey was 8-9 this fall, a far cry from 1-12 Women's tennis.

If you’re having a tough time being competitive as a junior nothing is going to change as a senior. Nice try, LS Our Director of Tennis was only appointed a year ago so maybe he’s working on a plan for our teams to become more competitive

It's only logical that athletes with four years of coaching, training and playing are more competitive on average than they are with three years. At my age you may become steadily less competitive each year but not while playing college sports.

We beat Lafayette in the PLT in the "play-in" round (8 v. 9).
First time in history?
