The women played really well for Roth while Lachapelle was away with the national team. I wonder how our recruiting process is. Last year we were fortunate to play some HE schools who were having down years like BU. I would like to think we could out recruit Merrimack and maybe even Maine, but something is not working.

Unfortunately Coach Roth recently left HC for the Harvard staff. I do not believe that a replacement has been found.

In looking at the 23-24 roster, I note only four frosh - that is a disappointing number if you're looking for our team to make a move up the standings.
We are now a fully-funded program and believe a hard look at the program will be appropriate after this season

I know virtually nothing about women's ice hockey in general, HE hockey in general, or Holy Cross women's hockey in particular, but I'm not going to grouse about a pre-season poll. I'll wait until our ladies have a chance to play before I'll criticize the coach.

We lost our top two scorers, Edmonds and Smithson to graduation from a (9th place) 7-26-1 team - while adding only 4 frosh to the returning squad

Conceding you likely know more about this subject than I, what odds would you give me that HC doesn't finish last in the league?

Stop sniffing superiority. You've already established that whatever school pays you the most gets your business. While understanding that, it's not like the quality of the team is your decision-maker. If Holy Cross paid you the most for your pictures, you'd be there in a flash, regardless if they were in first, middle or last place.
On Crossports, you have established your worth as the contrarian regarding all things pertaining to Holy Cross. Sort of like a very annoying Devil's Advocate.
And, yes, I know you take great pride in that position.

Holy Cross either rejected Foley's application out of high school, didn't pay him net 30 on a job, or served him cold pizza for his lunch.
I can't figure out another reason he'd spend so much time on this message board. Both bizarre and kind of admirable.

Makes complete and total sense, so no need to disparage HC women’s hockey and shooting games at bigger hockey schools when you’ll gladly shoot Division 3 field hockey. |

C'mon, Teamer, you've been on here long enough to realize that Foley looks for and only posts negative things about Holy Cross. It's not this specific post, it's just one drop in a flood of posts that have only one thing in common - disparaging Holy Cross.
I have posted often that the folks at UNH are great. Foley is an exception and more than a year ago he explained why to me in a PM. He's holding a grudge against the HC administration, though he didn't use that term.
Rather than just move on, he's made a decision to come on here frequently to post negative stuff. Yes, some/most of it is "objective" like the immediate post but you'll never see him post positive stuff about Holy Cross. Crusader football beating Sacred Heart or UNH in the playoffs? Let's put a spin that both schools weren't any good. He'll belittle his alma mater if it makes Holy Cross look worse.
The biggest problem is that most posters here just don't put him on their "ignore list." He feeds off the responses that he gets.
