When I was at HC, my aunt and uncle made all four parents' weekends at the Cross (1963-64-65-66). My dad had died in WWII and my mother was overseas working. That same aunt passed away on Friday and her funeral was yesterday. She was 96. If it is something you do, please say a prayer for her and her late husband (Claire Marie Ahern and Sgt. Patrick Ahern). It is appreciated.

Thank you for sharing. Be assured my prayers are added to those of all others noted here. No better community than HC for moments such as this.

Rob,
Just your short description of her place in your life paints such a beautiful picture of what she means to you and conveys the sense of loss you must feel. I pray that memories of your uncle and aunt and knowing that she joins your uncle in God’s loving embrace will help you feel comfort.
They and you are in our prayers.
Peace.

Rob...
You are so fortunate to have had them in your life! Hang on to all those memories knowing that they are resting comfortably in the hands of God! Be assured that I will keep your Aunt, Uncle, my classmate and your family in my thoughts and prayers! And, know that they will be in my mass intentions today when I serve at the 4:30pm mass! May they rest in peace!
