As in so many games, start decently or better and then the bottom falls out.
Outside of Caleb, everyone else just looks like they’re playing their first game of the season.

Will we be able to get off another shot before halftime?

Bo needs to figure this thing out.

It is when we let the opponent go on runs of 6 or 8 we must stop the bleeding
Today we let it go to 14-0
Plenty of other issues but

This is not the first game in which we started out OK or even well only to go into a deep dive in which we never recover. I've bought into DP's suggestion that we look for progress and not wins but I've seen little to no progress to date - not even incremental, with the exception of Louth and Caleb doing very well but his starting point was much higher than Louth's, Octave is doing well offensively.
Bo and Batch are showing nothing so far. Nugent? Also not seeing improvement. The former two have actually appeared to have regressed but others may check the stats and prove me wrong.
For the experts on the board, are these semi-fast/fast starts and then fades on the coach with the other teams making adjustments?

It’s on the players. You can only hide lack of talent for so long.

Talent isn’t there, but this offense doesn’t look much different than Brett Nelson’s.
A lot of perimeter screens, token looks inside, and isolation play as the shot clock winds down.

Why not press down 9 with 2:30 left?

If Bo shows up, it’s a different game.

Why not press down 9 with 2:30 left? Paulson does not press. Ever. In his tenure at Bucknell, we didn’t see one true press in seven years.

I think I've seen enough of Bo for the time being - maybe there's no one better but he doesn't deserve all the minutes he gets

I think we are basically "bottoming out" this year minus GG. The good news? Nowhere to go but up.

Had a long post set to send but decided against it. Too disheartened. I look for some bright spots but struggle to find one. CCSU ain't a top of the line team.

Unfortunately, as poor as we may be this year, with Bo, Octave, and Louth graduating, next year could be much worse unless the incoming freshmen are the second coming of Vicens and Potter.
Realistically we are at least two more seasons away from even a .500 record.
Buckle up. It's going to be a long road ahead until we are respectable again.

Perhaps wait until we see this team against PL competition before falling into the "stink" category with our "big fan".

I think we will be much better next season. I don't believe we are losing as much as we did with the loss of GG.

I don’t think you’re right here. Freshmen class will get better. We think we like what we have in Max Green. Louth and Bo are easily replaceable.

These kids will get better, and the next group of recruits will fill a few more gaps. When you are missing major pieces patience is difficult, but in my opinion it will be rewarded.

At one point, they had Bo and 4 frosh on the court, and they were not outmatched. Octave is a player. I like Ryan. He wasn’t afraid to bang inside. With some development, I like his future. Bo, Batch and Nugent appear to be in a slump. Christmas break can’t come soon enuf for them. I’m not ready to throw the towel in yet. They won’t win the league, but I think they can make some noise in January and February.
