Fair enough. Part of me wants to see the clues, but they do serve to increase my anxiety. Right now, in the. midst of this transition, I am actually more concerned with our caching staff than recruits.

I am well acquainted with the signs of a stroke since my wife had one back in 2015. Necessity is a great teacher.

I hope you are OK and currently not having a stroke. Interesting leap there. I am well acquainted with the signs of a stroke since my wife had one back in 2015. Necessity is a great teacher. Many times I post first and then correct my spelling etc…and frequently someone will reply mid correction. I thought maybe the hysterical close captioning on Coach Curran’s presser was contagious. 🙂

Nice connection. Thanks for the explanation. I have an ongoing issue with my spellcheck/grammar correcting software on my MacBook Air. It has become personal. For example, I type "stroke" and it comes out "strike" when I post. When I check my posts, I typically have to go back and fix words that have been changed and delete letters and symbols that I did not type.

Garrett Gillick is the DC at UNH. There is nothing that leads anyone to believe that position is even open. I'm not trying to be naive, but who's to say Scott James leaves. I have no idea, but UNH?
On what basis?
I'm all for information because it's pretty hard to come by, but just wondering how that could be true. I don't see Scott taking a position coach job. But I guess it's possible.

I'm pretty confident that Scott James will remain at Holy Cross.

Bob Chesney resigned and was replaced a week later. In these efforts, that is warp speed. Kudos to ADKH for being well prepared.
Our new head coach has a clear understanding of the HC psyche. That quality is highlighted ad nauseam as a highly important factor in any hire especially for our major sports. ADKH grasped that importance and filled it superbly.
Our commitments in light of the change came in at approximately 85-90%. I would classify that as exemplary especially in this day and age where college kids seem to want change schools like they change their underwear.
Coach Curran laid out his expectations of the makeup of his staff. Any new manager in business or coach in sports is entitled to put his staff together. If he did not have designs along the lines of what he laid out, honestly I think we should all be scratching our head wondering why he didn’t.
Additionally, business protocol would seem to me to move swiftly yet prudently in making key personnel decisions. I very much get the sense that Coach Curran understands and appreciates that.
In regard Coach Grautski, do you think the folks in Harrisonburg, VA would delay letting their faithful know if they had added a longstanding S/C coach connected to their new head coach? I don’t. In fact, I welcome sharing with this audience that I had lunch with Coach Grautski just yesterday. Another close friend joined us as well. We had a grand time. The food was spectacular especially the chowder. Beyond that, proper decorum dictates that what we discussed is treated in professional fashion.
Change creates opportunity for lots of chatter and speculation. Boards like this are great reflections of the interest and energy surrounding our program. That said, I might encourage you great Crusaders and Friends of HCFB to exhale and realize that two weeks ago we had a different head coach. Much ground has been covered in these last two weeks.
My final comment. Given all that I have gleaned over these last two weeks both in regard HCFB and college football at large, I am more confident about the future of HCFB now than I ever have been before. I state that with no sense of hyperbole.
Enjoy the Christmas spirit. We have a great college, great kids, great leadership, the best alumni and we continue to have no reason to take a back seat to anybody.
Let’s Win!! ✝️🏈💜

Awww sh*t.....that's probably what happened....I like James, good coach and made time for my brother a couple times to go ovah D schemes/philosophy during his busy schedule.
It's such a tough biz....hope he ends up staying, but can understand if he leaves.

What's left of the staff?? What's left of the relationships?? We all know it's a doggy dog world, but in the end adult decisions affect young men adversely. James was the right kind of Man and Mentor for young men, the loss will resonate beyond what the average contributor can imagine. Who knows why or who's decision it was to leave, wish the man and his family the best in the future.. Thank you Coach James!!

Right now Gunnell, Vaganek, Zarkoskie, Cordova, Grautski are still here. I feel great about these guys. Curran was absolutely going to be bringing in 3 or 4 of his own guys which is exactly what it will be.
Safety, CB, DL, QB. Brian Vaganek has been a DC in the past and a good one. He’s a fantastic evaluator of talent too. He’d get my vote.
Scott is a good guy. Wish him nothing but the best whether this was his decision or not.

Most head coaches have a background in either offense or defense - do we know what side of the ball has been CDC’s specialty?

I'd really love to see this get solidified - by next Friday at the latest. Starting on 1/2 this staff will have a lot of work to do to get 12-15 more players in the boat. I'm still working on figuring out the roster number next year which will help determine needs and positions and the money they have to sign those players. It's an important next 7 weeks toward future HC football teams.
