For the past couple of years we hear that next years recruits are going to help. That has not worked out. We can't recruit top players anymore.

I don't see what help it did the program playing Q with 7 people as DP chose not to use anyone else. A wall was hit halfway during the game.
HC had a lot more left in the tank yesterday playing with 8.
It will be interesting what DP's rotation will be when (and if, I guess) the other two return.

It is still possible After all, weren't the players who left or were poached by other teams recruited to HC. It is retention that has been our bigger downfall, IMHO. I believe that Paulson's hiring has addressed that.

8 guys played, Kirkwood and Rabs and one other guy (Declan II or Capron) had unis on. And Bo was there for sure lending moral support. No sign of Tse or Will. I would think Tse is toast, if you're going to play again you don't disappear. As far as Will goes, "Sick in bed" is odd for a 20 year old, unless he's quarantined or something like that. Batch will be back Not sure of what's going on with Tse. He has not even been on the bench at the games I've seen since Siena with the exception of B.C. where he was on the bench I think Coach Paulsen said something pre season like it's not going to be about wins and losses as much as progress. I think we're seeing progress. We are going to see the team slide backwards, but as long as it's two steps up and one step back, I'm OK with that Prior to the injury/sickness bug, Singleton was a distant 8th man. I have commented the last couple of games about Wills and Ryan who weren't part of the core. Now it's Singleton's turn. He surprised the heck out of me last night. I will temper things with remembering he is a freshman and freshmen are mostly inconsistent. Two years ago, Kenney went crazy at Harvard, Next time out he had a pretty quiet night. That's what freshmen do. No guarantee SIngleton does it again when HC has their next D-I game at Bucknell, but there's something there. I should probably eat crow over my whining about the game time. Based on TV, it looked like a decent crowd. Announcers also said team bus was stopping at Logan on it's way to Worcester Nice to see Coulibaly get some minutes. After last season, I was concerned about his return The freshmen are growing. Coulibaly working his way back. Batch and Montgomery expected back soon. A REALLY down PL this season. Even at 2-10, I don't think this squad will be a cellar dweller. Not the highest bar, but it's a step

Will B is out with the Flu, and Bo is out until the league games start..these past few games have really helped the freshmen get their feet under them...I think we will be just fine in league play! What’s wrong with Bo? I thought it was curious he came off the bench against Maine. Now, he’s not playing. There didn’t appear to be any injury in a game. He’s had a woeful season shooting the ball. Has he been playing injured? Bo tweaked his knee at Central CT. He hopes to be back by the first league game. Doing rehab now

I think a lot of his shooting woes come from having to play point guard. The blossoming of AJ Wills should help Bo.

Just watched the game now. Very exciting to watch the Crusaders come back to tie it and have the ball with 37 seconds left. A coming out party for Singleton. I don't know which injured player but somebody might be Wally Pipped when they come back.
A great effort. Bring on Our Lady of the Elms College.

L/S is a traditionalist.
Curious, is it still a Catholic school? If not, I could see a name change after a tree rather than after a sainted figure.

Yes, it's still Catholic, but they de-Catholicized the name. It's been discussed in other threads how the names of many Catholic colleges don't scream "Catholic" (e.g Marquette, Providence College, etc.) unlike our alma mater.

Yup, I think only our alma mater and Sacred Heart are left Schools named for saints, Incarnate Word and Assumption all say "hello"; although, I guess one could argue that a lot of people don't know what the words mean. And a lot of the schools named for saints are in a city of the same name.

“..Harvard decided against using a timeout..” Fortunately for them since they had none left. And so many of you here look down your noses at Harvard thinking they aren't so smart! Great decision by Harvard to decide not to take a timeout and without what would have been a technical, they won the game. Genius.

You could write in a "W" for HC when a Harvard game was on the schedule during his era.
