Downtown Annapolis was under water this morning. I hope that doesn't disrupt travel or play. Squeegee the court and toss the ball up.

Cara gets tired of being tied up for a jump ball, fights back and draws a foul.

Is Callie Wright ill or injured?
(edit) Just came in the game. Didn't see her on the bench and I'm pretty sure she didn't play vs Army.

HC turning the ball over frequently but 4/7 on threes and defense clamps down after turnovers. HC up 33-23.

Local girl Simone hits buzzer beater before the half with the scoreboard lit up for the swish. HC 36-23. Bring on Boston U. for a three game winner (of the last game) takes all series.

Local girl Simone hits buzzer beater before the half with the scoreboard lit up for the swish. HC 36-23. Bring on Boston U. for a three game winner (of the last game) takes all series. Navy's only chance seems to be forcing turnovers; when the press and the traps are broken, HC has no problem scoring.

Donnelly, Berger and Munt were in together. A preview of next year.

Foreman scores again on a buzzer beater to end the third period. She should be in at the end of every quarter.

Solid win by the ladies 69-54. Seems like the first time in a bit they shot well at Navy. Hopefully they can maintain the fine shooting forward.

Their upbeat offense is definitely working better in PL games.

For the first time this year we shot over 50 pct from the field - the only negative was the 21 turnovers - we’ve won our 3 league games by the same 15 pt margin, with two of the games being identical scores

For the first time this year we shot over 50 pct from the field Maybe not a coincidence that McCormack only took five shots, her fewest this year. Fun fact - when KM has taken ten or fewer shots this season, Holy Cross is 5-1. Last year, when she took ten or fewer, we were 15-2. She's taken more shots than anybody except BP and is hitting just 33% (25% deep).
Also, not coincidentally, Foreman had her best showing at the offensive end. In her first ten games, she shot just 24% (20-82) from the field; last four games, 54% (15-28). Hopefully, we see more of the same as league play progresses, because the rest of her game has been excellent. She has been a machine on the defensive boards (3rd in the PL in rebounds, 2nd in DR%) and is a strong contender for the All-Defensive team, leading the conference in both DRtg and Defensive Win Shares.

Flanns also has gotten off to a good start in league play, despite her 5 turnovers last night, 3 of which were really bad, got it back on track in the second half with only 1 t/o. I didn't think a year or 2 ago that I'd see a game where Munt would play more minutes than either Allen or Berger, and although she missed a couple of bunnies, played really good defense.
