Massey picks Lehigh to beat HC by 8 points (77-69) and gives them a 79% chance for the win.

Massey likes HC more than Pomeroy does, who has the game 81-69.

Many wakes have a more exciting environment than Chrystl. At the games I attend, often half of the crowd is Bucknell fans. I assume the same will be the case for Holy Cross. Usually there are no more than a handful of cadets there, often less. Once there was a collection of students sitting at the far end with notebook/textbooks, none of whom were watching the game. It turned out it was a punishment detail, with the punishment being that they had to watch Army basketball. Midway through the second half, their punishment was at an end, and all of them exited as quickly as possible. Students actually support soccer better than basketball, although the behavior at women’s games can be fairly nasty (or worse) towards the opposition.

My mistake. As I was reading the description. I thought it was talking about army. But yes, Stabler has an incredibly poor game environment as well. And Stabler might easily be the ugliest D1 arena in the country. It was built the 1970s and I don’t think they’ve even added a coat of paint since then. Nothing but bad lighting and bare concrete. No lights above the court, third rate scoreboards, no lighting at all in the end zone seats and thin plywood underneath the chairback seating Also the best seats are far removed from the court.

5;00 PM is an ideal time for me. I go Mass at 5PM on Saturdays so I can pray for the team while not having to watch the turnovers and missed free throws….,,, we could even win

Always hated the railing separating the first section of stands from the bench area. Looks like the fence one might have around one's patio. And Lehigh's shade of brown is horrible. If one chooses that color, go w/the Cleveland Browns' hue.

Stabler Arena is indeed a very utilitarian structure. I agree with Lou, the atmosphere in March 2016 was terrific as was the game although the arena was not quite a sellout. The only time I witnessed a true sellout was in Pete Carril's final season when the Princeton vs. Penn playoff game was held there. The crowd was evenly split between Penn and Princeton fans. On my way home, a deer ricocheted off the side of our vehicle somewhere along I-78. Just a terrific atmosphere and a great game which went into OT. In contrast, I was there for a Monday night game during the Nelson era, and I suspect there were about 200 fans there.
Apart from a paint job, the only change I have noticed over the decades was an upgrade of the scoreboard. The old one, as mentioned in Feinstein's excellent book, had the word "Advantage" on it, a wrestling term. Hopefully, we won't get blown off the highway by the wind on our way back tonight. I will provide a detailed post-game report here. Go Cross Go!

I think one of the three freshmen guards needs to step up and have a big game. They've all demonstrated they can do it, but typical of freshmen, can't do it consistently.
Also need to defend ball movement without fouling (unlike last Wednesday)
Failing that, someone is going to have to get stupid hot from 3

The Mountain Hawks also have a tall front court, so that will be a major challenge.

Yup and lehigh is 41-62 in its last 3 games. Over/under is that Lehigh will make 6.5 more free throws tonight than HC makes....

Four of our core players have combined to try 20 free throws this season. Stunning.
