Does the men’s hockey team have to bus it to Erie, PA or do they fly? Long bus ride could impact playing energy.

It was a bus trip years ago. Assuming it still is today.
The team skated at Mercyhurst yesterday evening, so guessing they bussed out Thursday morning. If you're not doing a charter, can't imagine there are any direct flights into Erie. You're probably having to fly into Cleveland or Buffalo. Between the drive to Logan and then drive from one of those airports to Erie, how much time are you really saving by flying?
We've had one AHA weekend sweep this year. As good of a time as ever to make it two.

They definitely bused when I was at HC. As SOV stated, flight would only make sense if we had budget to charter.
Amtrak would be possible if you drove the equipment truck separately with all the players' bags. Issue is the service on that line is very infrequent and usually delayed.

There are flights that go from Worcester to Cleveland with one stop...but, driving would still be a better option.

RMU leading AIC 1-0 after two. Good for us.

A sleeper train would save on missed class time if the players could get to sleep on the train. However it appears the one daily train leaves Union Station in Worcester at 2:06PM and arrives at Union Station in Eirie at 2:10AM.

LS, once again it’s obvious you’re spending too much time on this board - analyzing Amtrak schedules is very impressive while evaluating possible sleep

Gale gets it done in net - is Grande out indefinitely? We’ll need both of them down the stretch

To file under the "who do we root for tonight?" category --
RMU to beat AIC -- RMU is in dead last and poses no threat in catching us. We are three points better than AIC, but have three games in hand. In all likelihood, we are going to be angling for that four seed with them.
RIT to beat Bentley -- RIT will likely be the top seed. Currently have the most points (37) and two games in hand on SHU (36 points). Bentley is right in our rearview mirror (27 points, but a game in hand).
Canisius to beat Air Force -- Have a chance to catch Air Force, who is just one point better than us, but has three games in hand. We host Air Force next week for two games. We will learn a lot more after that series.
Let's get behind this team, as spring sports look to not bring much joy this year.

The four New England teams are in the top six places in the standings. Could be some good local playoff pairings.
