Unfortunately, we're in the 8/9 game (as you mention, hoops), just a matter of whether we are hosting or on the road.
7/10 would be better, as that would mean avoiding Colgate in the quarters.
PL does not re-seed.

PL does not re-seed. 7/10 is not an option.. But, yes IF HC wins the play in game, it would be better to avoid Colgate

I just realized that we are, in all likelihood, looking at our fifth straight season (four if you don't count the corona season) of not cracking ten Division I wins.
Amazing.

Massey makes HC a 4 point underdog at home (65-69) with a 36% chance for the win. Underdogs on our home court...ouch! (... to a team we already beat at their place!)

Morales did not play last game, and he is a bit of a matchup problem.

Morales did not play last game, and he is a bit of a matchup problem. Most opponent players are matchup problems for HC. I know DP is a man to man guy but if this continues early next year, I hope he has some wrinkles in mind. The one coach who has been successful at HC in the last 25 years confounded opponents with a D other than man to man.

True And no coach ,including his own son and friend, both still trying, have been able to duplicate the success of that unique defense.

My error. Thanks for correcting me on that one. I forgot we played both games at home last time.
With BU at home, Massey has them as 9 point favorites (63-72) and gives them an 80% chance for the win.

I have seen teams come out of a time out with a zone for 3 or 4 possessions and totally confound the opposition.
Being unpredictable is normally an advantage.
Regardless of whether you play a truly great MTM or a great zone, good teams will adjust to it and find the holes.

Bang out the roof so they have to play this doubleheader in Agganis Arena next year. Any PL interest in having the whole M+W PLT at BU using both Case and Agganis to keep the trains running on time? Would the BU hockey coaches nix that idea?

Would the BU hockey coaches nix that idea? In recent years, the attendance for Boston U's home games with HC has averaged just over 600 (including no shows). The capacity of Agganis for basketball is 6400. Having over 90% of the seats empty is bad optics that Boston U wants no part of - and it also makes it a losing proposition to even open Aggans. As for having the PLT there, the PL has no interest, nor do the individual schools. Btw. the first few years after Boston U joined the PL, they were required to play league games in Agganis because the PL didn't like the idea of a member playing in a gym with a capacity of maybe 1500. After a few years of "crowds" of 650 people packed into Agganis, the PL and Boston U agreed to stop butting their heads against an immovable wall, and they moved all games to Case, whose 1500 capacity is more than Boston U will ever need.

Would the BU hockey coaches nix that idea? They used to the single location thing some years ago, but went to straight campus sites, Not enough interest in the PL to get many people to travel to the tournament. Probably get better attendance on campus

The PLT final in a home gym is probably the signature PL event of the year. At least we have that going for us.

And in the PL we have pretty strong coaches, but the talent doesn't match the coaching, especially with Nelson and a handful over the last decade

That Quonset Hut is on the National Registry of Historic Places. (not really) How are you going to build a new facility small enough to meet Colgate's needs? It really is a perfect match between a durable classic barn and an out of the way college that draws small crowds even with a great program.
