Not where you start but where and how you finish

I think we start the season ranked #3 in the PL I'll take a guess at the PL preseason poll -- Lafayette Fordham HC Colgate Lehigh Bucknell Georgetown My pre-season poll prediction: Lafayette Holy Cross Colgate Fordham Lehigh Bucknell Georgetown My actual 2024 season prediction: Colgate Lafayette Fordham Holy Cross Lehigh Georgetown Bucknell

Took my first real close look at the schedule. Man, it's brutal. The "on paper" easiest 3 games don't come until the final 3 weeks of the season. Hope people are patient with Coach Curran.

My pre-season poll prediction: 1. Lafayette 2. Fordham 3. Holy Cross 4. Colgate 5. Lehigh 6. Bucknell 7. Georgetown
My prediction: T-1. Fordham T-1. Holy Cross 3. Colgate 4. Laffy 5. Lehigh 6. Bucknell 7. Georgetown
I think Colgate is likely to be underrated by some and Laffy overrated by some. QB for both those teams could be a difference maker. How is Lafayette's depth in the QB room after DeNobile? Fordham returns some good weapons including Felton, Loughbridge, and Montes. Not sure about their defensive depth.
OOC will be tough for us, especially the first few weeks of the season, but both UNH and URI had 6-5 seasons last year. Could HC lose both? Perhaps but I see us winning both just as likely. The most likely outcome might be a split. Bryant was also 6-5 last season. Syracuse is the only OOC that scares me this year. Maybe Yale.

So the 2023 records of our five 2024 FCS opponents are 8-2, 7-3 (IL) and 6-5, 6-5, 6-5 (CAA) and the P-4 Orange? Crossports demands for stronger schedules were heard. Coach Curran's honeymoon will be non-existant. There is no Our Lady of the Elms or Regis on the schedule like in MBB.

Basically it's turning into Big South 2.0 with a bigger geographic footprint.

My plans and expectations are to be at 8 games in person thanks to Coach Chesney/Kit Hughes for a couple of "home" Rhode Island games:
1 - URI (A) 2 - UNH (H) 3 - Bryant (A) 4 - Yale (H) 5 - Fordham (H) 6 - Harvard (A) 7 - Lehigh (H) 8 - Bucknell (H)
Now, only have to decide whether the home game season seats stay on the future "visitor side" or move over to the new "home side."
