Massey makes HC a 10 point favorite (63-53) and gives HC with a 79% chance for the win.
He ranks (18-12) HC at #232 and (16-14) Loyola MD at #275.

Ten bucks? Where will the PL be if that becomes a driving factor in WBB D1 recruiting and retention?

How could ever get worse that what you see here ?

The league is seven games below .500 overall, .7 wins below .500 per team on average. It can get worse.

take the league games out because that results in as many wins as losses - take the D.2-3 wins out that every school had (at least one) What's left is what I'm talking about - the ooc vs. D.1 competition - that is effectively what takes our league RPI to where it sits today and why having a winning record in the league does not help a school like HC's RPI
Getting back to tmro's game, I think the 10 pt spread is a little large and I hope the team remembers what Loyola did to us last month at the Hart

Agree, Massey's logarithm has been very accurate the back half of the season. This is a 50/50 game. Loyola had a solid win over the very, very disappointing Lehigh squad.

Try to drive on Therrien and hope she gets early fouls requiring either bench time or cautious play from her. Donnelly could provide some minutes for that but she appears to healthy enough to dress but not to play recently.

To be honest, HC's interior defense against the top bigs has been pretty good. At a guess. this game will likely be decided on who makes their 3s

Simone's like a bloodhound on the ball when it caroms off the rim.

The league would probably be 17-18 games below .500 or close to two games per team. Not good but the tightly bunched finish in the standings has it's own merit. Take a Fordham MBB program. They are in a stronger league but it lacks that merit of closely bunched teams who fit well together. The PL is a gem for HC. I would not want to be in a stronger league if HC was not competitive. As an example, right now the AHA in men's hockey is working for HC, Hockey East in women's hockey isn't but we will keep trying obviously.

13 games under .500, average 1.3 games per team. A challenge to be confronted but not a crisis. Balanced by great parity, competitive games and exciting championship tournament. Not all leagues enjoy those elements. How would you like to be 1-27/0-18 Xavier WBB in the Big East? We should schedule them.

Big game coming up in three hours and no posts since yesterday while all kinds of issues are being debated elsewhere. Which makes me wonder if any posters on this site are women?

The last woman I remember on Crossports was a young lady who hoped to attend HC. When she was not accepted, she no longer posted here. IMHO it was a loss.

The youngest fans and youth teams who attend WBB games are majority female. Which is great role modeling by the team. But the kids post on TikTok and such not here.

So what's the game plan to shut down Therrien who reminds me of Lauren.

I expect they will do what they did in the first 2 games, double, double, double. Lexi did not had have big games in the first 2, scoring 7 & 12 pts & grabing 7 & 8 rebs. The game that HC lost they couldn't hit the ocean from the field.

Simone went 12 and 12 down at their place - then zero and five at the Hart, in the early stages of her scoring swoon. Looks like she may be re-gaining her confidence over the last four games (averaging eight and ten).
Hoping for - and expecting - a big game from her tonight at the offensive end.

Justin Galanty calls Therrien the best big in the PL. That's bulletin board material for BU when they watch the replay.
