Our 1843LLC website is now live and available for ALL to see. Our football and men's basketball NIL program is up and running for all those interested in joining as a member. Just put 1843llc.com in your browser and off you go. The site will continually be updated with fresh news. I want to thank Julia Egan, a Senior at Holy Cross and an active member of the Cioccia Business Center at Holy Cross for her design expertise in building this website for our team. It is now time for ALL to support Holy Cross Football and Men's Basketball through the new NIL. Sorry for the delay for all of you that have been waiting patiently.

Website looks great!! How do we find a list of athletes to begin donations or is that at the discretion of the collective?

Nice looking website. Smart to get an HC kid to do it. Question--The site has a place to join as a member which is "confirmed through financial participation in supporting 1843." Is there a minimum payment to become a member and be eligible for events, etc? Thanks to those involved for undertaking this.

Don’t be constrained by the minimum. Fire $10,000 or $20,000 in there and you’ll be good to go.

Website looks great!! How do we find a list of athletes to begin donations or is that at the discretion of the collective? The collective "collects the dollars" and it's up to the coaches of each team to use the dollars at their digression. 1843LLC like most NIL collectives, is a support mechanism for HC football and HC men's basketball to use as they see fit. You send your dollars to 1843LLC.

You send your dollars to 1843LLC. You are starting to see this with college coaching hires. For instance, Will Wade is rumored to be getting the Vanderbilt basketball job. In the tweet I saw about this, one of the selling points was him having $7mm in NIL cash. What a world. At the big time level, coaches will now be asking “what’s my NIL money pool look like?”

We have it at a $1,000 dollar donation will get you in as a member. This allows you to be a part of our future events with other members and a chance to meet and talk with Coach Curran and Coach Paulson at future events. By the way, Julia Eagan is brilliant and did a wonderful job on the site development. Like her, 1843LLC wants to highlight our brilliant football and basketball student athletes as well.

Have any Women’s Basketball Alum’s been approached and if so expressed a willingness to participate so that we can possibly move to the next level of recruiting student athletes. Is Coach MM on board with the concept of the collective for HC WBB?

Coach Magarity would have to reach out to 1843llc to express an interest in using our platform. Questions have been asked but nothing official.

We’re not competing with Harvard in the world of NIL, or for that matter Yale, Dartmouth or any other Ivy League school. Thanks trimster for sharing the article with us.

You are welcome. I know it wouldn't happen at HC but one thing I don't like about NIL is some schools are using it to circumvent scholarship limits.

13collective from Colgate. Go take a look at our REAL competition from the Patriot League. Pull up their website. This is the real world of NIL. Even at the FCS level of college sports.

Major college programs are paying athletes lots of money to play a sport for them and to drive revenue for the school. Scholarships, what are those?

There are two ways to read what you wrote: we''re not currently competing with them or we're not capable of competing with them. You're right either way.

The top 4/5 Ivy football programs have offered their best players $20-25k summer internships for years which consist of showing up to a corporate office for a few hours a week. Call that what you will. They don’t pay $ to their best players in the same way they happen to have ~70-80 Scholi equivalents despite being “non scholarship football” and don’t play in the football postseason cause it would interfere with academics and finals. All a bunch of BS optics.

Curious about the funds in the "collective". Are the pools of money managed like endowments, ie., invested? Or is it basically a big checking account?

Thank you for further enlightening those that need it.
