Removing honorifics for faculty accused of sexual misconduct

The college will remove the honorific names of former faculty and staff members who, based on the Cozen O’Connor report and other historical reports to the college, have been credibly accused by students of sexual misconduct. The removal process, which includes honors bestowed through seven gift agreements and related college honorifics, is nearly complete. All of the people in question left the college decades ago and are now deceased, and none have been charged with a crime. Nevertheless, this is an important step that acknowledges an ongoing source of pain felt by a number of our alumni survivors.
