At today's Sox at Angels game, there is a guy behind the plate (to the far right, in a run way) with a HC shirt on. He's been waving his arms to distract the Sox pitcher. He keeps popping in and out of view.

20-year-old Jackson Matthew Holliday will make his debut in Fenway tonight. Yes, that Holliday, and maybe the best prospect in the game. Destroyed every other level as a teenager.

Excellent. I love following the careers of players like young Holliday and Elly de La Cruz of the Reds.

This Holliday kid is the majors just six years after his father retired. Matt was a .299/.379/.510/.889 hitter. It will be fun to watch Jackson develop.
Edit: As soon as I posted, Holliday picks up first MLB RBI.

Red Sox Tanner Houck's 9K, no walks shutout last night was a 1 hour, 49 minute game, the shortest one in the majors in more than 14 years. Here is a list of short games this century including the horrible Gallaraga one hitter. www.mlb.com/news/fastest-mlb-games-in-history

Without looking, I bet Gregg Maddox appears there, probably frequently

Without looking, I bet Gregg Maddox appears there, probably frequently You'll see Mark Buehrle and Roy Halladay, for sure. Very quick workers.

Funny. Usually Fenway sets the records for longest games, not shortest.

So Cleveland and the merged-and-renamed Holy Name High both had the same nickname.....Napoleons!
My dvr on one tv has 5 minute jumps...I tend to not watch the Sox opponent bat unless they get someone on. Twice, yesterday the 5 minute jumps brought me from the Sox ending an inning at bat to starting another inning at bat. Given that includes two commercial breaks....
