Are we looking at any kids in the CM-SJP game? This was a tough game. The guy who stood out was SJ's # 20 Matthew Duchemin! Two interecptions (almost 3) and I believe had 2 TD receptions. Anyone know where he is headed?

It was nice to hear Rivers' and HCs name mentioned on the telecast. Don't think I've seen 2 qbs go down within a couple plays of each other like that in any ballgame at any level. Currently watching another Holy Cross commit (Dante Bolden - LB) who is playing for Springfield Central in their Super Bowl matchup vs. Duxbury. Bolden is a thumper who is not afraid to lay the wood on opposing ball carriers. Watched this game on TV and kept saying to myself "this kid is a player" somebody will lucky to have him next year. I did not know that he is one of our commits! Very excited to hear that and yes he is a THUMPER!!! !

Apparently team is stuck in FL until Wed morn. Back to Worc, then to SD Fri morn. Not exactly ideal. Can anyone loan their Gulf Stream or Lear Jet to get the team home? We need a Phil Knight to go along with Bill Fox to resolve this transportation issue. Imagine Coach Nelson at the airport with a sign “ Anyone with a Net Jet share willing to benefit for a ride to Worcester Airport” . Obviously not an ideal situation. I recently read where most Big East teams charter instead of using commercial flights due to the uncertainty of being bumped or cancellations. Take a look at the UTube video regarding Marquette travel. www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=375887Coach Nelson gave this up to come to Worcester. Cameo appearances at 2:15 and 3:08 in video. Don't think it would matter much as it is snowing heavily here in the Worcester area. Should have been done by now at 9:00am, but local radar showing it will last until about 2:00pm.

Congratulations to the Basketball team on its first win of the season! Makes the trip out west a lot more palatable. Missed the entire game while out snow blowing and shoveling. Came in and turned on WEEI to hear Dick L giving the team stats involving baskets made. Thought to myself, based on what I just heard HC must have won! Then he gave the final score verifying that they did indeed win! So happy for the team and coaches! Keep the improvement going! !

With all the other comments in various threads, thought this one deserved it own place! I looked back to see where we were predicted to finish and could only find this one by Massey (pretty much nailed it) posted by rgs: Massey lists the teams in almost the same order: 1. Colgate (1.32) 2. Holy Cross (0.82) 3. Georgetown (0.57) 4. Lehigh (0.52) - perhaps because of their new head coach. 5. Fordham (0.46) 6. Lafayette (0.45) 7. Bucknell (0.37) He has HC at 6-6 (and 5-1 in the Patriot League)Kudos to the football team, players, coaches, staff and everybody involved for bringing back excitement and winning to the HC Football program! Bob Chesney has done an oustanding job in the short time he has been here. In only two years, he has brought home a PL Championship. His first recruiting class brought in some really good players and the next incoming class appears to be even better! The future is bright! Go Cross Go! !

Even the announcers see and say what we have been saying all year, CD does not see the whole field!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He locks in on one receiver and throws it there. Monmouth knows that and has 2 picks! !

NAD better get started now on his annual Christmas poem because like the team, he's got a lot of work to do this year and not much to go on! ! But, knowing my guy Dave, he will make "something out of nothing", sort of like making "Old Forester 100 out corn, rye and barley"! !

I'll repeat... We are way behind our opponents in terms of pure athleticism, speed and BB IQ. If you don't have the horses, well.... ! Not giving up by any means, hoping we are a better team come January! !

Biggest difference so far this season.... athleticism and speed! Our opponents have more of both! Going to take some time.... The announcer is getting on my nerves.... might have to turn the volume down... reminds me of Birdsong! !

According to the Holy Cross website, tonight's game is on "CUSATV". Looks like $6.95 to watch for a 24 hour period from the time you subscribe/pay. and it does not automatically renew.

Would love to be there but have a most important event on that day. It will be 51 years to the day (November 30, 1968) that we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary! Holy Cross played at BC that day and lost to the Eagles 40 - 20. I kept getting updates on the game from the hostess at Pleasant Valley Country Club during the reception. Wishing the football team "All the Best" and hope they can bring home a "W" to make Saturday even more enjoyable! !

One of the QB's on Monmouth's roster is Eddie Scott who was on our 2018 roster as a freshman but did not see any action.

You all know I joined the board because of Butash. But, I just wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed the season. I visited campus a couple times, went to a practice, went to a couple games. And I’ve watched them play from all over the world. and of course, I’ve annoyed you all with my ramblings. It’s been fun. Even as I am flying home from Singapore today, I’m sporting holy cross gear. Thanks for putting up with me 😁 Have not annoyed me at all! Have enjoyed all your posts and enthusiasm for Butash and Holy Cross football! We on this board welcome your contributions and look forward to meeting you in person down the road! Your support for your guy is exemplary and appreciated! With that said, we must prevail on Saturday against the Hoyas and bring home the PL Championship Trophy! !

Yes, same story here for me as well .... Went to the 4:30 mass and sitting in the car, parking lot, listening to the radio. We are up 28 - 21, have the ball with about 5+ minutes left. Do I go in late and know how the game ended or go in on time and say a prayer for the victory? Chose the latter! After church found that we had won and outscored them in the last several minutes 21 to 7! WOW! Kudos to the players and coaching staff. You control your destiny! NOW, JUST DO YOUR JOB! And bring home the PL Championship ‘45 you finally have a smart phone. You can watch the game on it in church and pray in real time as you watch the action. Just be careful that you not cheer or curse at McCarthy while mass is ongoing. 😊
I went to the game with a pretty nasty chest cold. After watching over ten dropped passes and a 14-0 deficit, the elements got to me and I headed home. It was cold there with the wind. I had the game on my phone on the ride home, and watched the 4th qtr after the hour ride. It was interesting to read pages 3 thru 7 of this thread! I know the OC isn’t Mouse Davis, but he didn’t drop all those catchable passes. Great win for the boys!! As an aside, Fordham put up three tents on the parade ground with free food (dogs, burgers, pulled pork and salads) and a cash beer/wine tent for everyone in celebration of homecoming. It was very well done and hopefully some of the HC powers were there to take notes. Yes, should have thought that one through... but when they won, how could I explain jumping up and down on the pew after multiple calls to 911 to get this crazy guy who just lost his mind locked up! Then, hopefully find a guy on the bench who would have understood! !

Next week poses a slight problem also... Assuming HC prevails and defeats GT, I have to serve at the 4:30 mass, also happens to be for some deceased family members. Thankfully the start of the game is at 12:00 noon, so I should be able witness the celebration and still be on time for mass.👍

Not at all... an Our Father, 2 Hail Mary's, a Glory Be to the Father and all is forgiven my son....😀! As for hchoops and Sunday mass... you are as old as I am and sleeping in on Sundays is helpful particularly when I have to work K of C bingo tomorrow night!😁!
