8th of 9, well behind #7 no one on all-pl team if this sport is our best chance at national exposure, we are in trouble Thank goodness pre-season polls have little or no meaning on the field.

I don't think those wins/losses count this year.

I don't think those wins/losses count this year. True, but they may influence the pre season vote this season

Good things are happening in lacrosse. The Coach is top notch, and recruiting has gone well. The Patriot League is probably the toughest Lacrosse league in the nation. We are improving. Be prepared for some great improvement!

Be prepared for some great improvement! The PL is very good, but not as strong as the ACC or Ivy. Both those leagues are smaller however. If HC and LC can ever be consistently above-average, the PL might overtake the Ivy.

with the returning goalies having quit the team, we are left with three freshmen to see who emerges in the net. I'd say 8th is pretty much where we belong. We are still having serious problems gaining any traction in this very tough league. (you can say the same thing about our women's team). Let's surprise the lax world this season !

I would say making the league tournament for the first time in school history last year would be considered gaining traction.

"with the returning goalies having quit the team" what's the story there? Believe you had two returnees at G one of whom was a walk-on and another recruited by former coach who didn't see the field last year.

regarding my post above, of course last season was a breakthrough by making the tourney, but I guess I'm looking for more than one season to establish traction in the league, and this season looks to be challenging. including last season's 3-5 league record, we are a combined 13-72 (.152) in the league going back to 2004. Season starts on saturday vs. Providence - Go Cross !
