Game has been moved to Friday night at 7:00. Release said extreme cold was the reason. Supposed to be 27 degree at game time and 22 by 9:00 in Worcester. On Saturday, it's supposed to be 17 and partly sunny at the original noon game time, rising to 18 by 2:00. Can't imagine the night game will feel a lot warmer than the originally scheduled day game. Plus it's supposed to snow until early afternoon on Friday. Curious decision.

silly not to have played this afternoon. game time temp 26, with windchills at 13 degrees (on top of the hill even colder?) not a good idea for players, coaches, officials, whoever

Is it conceivable that Ohio State's travel plans from Columbus didn't enable them to get to Worcester and time for game this afternoon?

Is this a game that could be played indoors in future seasons when the indoor field is complete? We might become an attractive early opponent to a lot of schools if we can host indoor games in February and March.

OSU played Our Lady of the Lake in South Bend on Tuesday. Doubt they would bus, so probably flew to Boston at some point. They are @ Harvard on Monday.
As for why not play this afternoon, perhaps uncertainty about when the field could be swept of snow, and getting officials for the game..

Should have moved the game to Bryant and played indoors since their indoor facility is ready. My understanding is the new football facility at HC will be able to host lax

My understanding is the new football facility at HC will be able to host lax The Holy Cross new indoor field house is a regulation size football field with both endzones, bordered by a jogging track. The field will be marked for football, lacrosse, soccer, and I believe field hockey. The Bryant field house (the one that collapsed during construction) looks to be marked only for football. Watched most of the second half (along with Duke-UNC), the field looked to be in good shape, very little slipping. Viewer count was around 230 near the end. A very fine win. Team looks to be quite posed.

Great win vs. a nationally recognized team......this should help HCB in her recruiting efforts on a national level. A touch of big time athletics last night. Kudos to all the Crusaders playing last night !

Did not see the 'hoodie' but certainly was a hoodie type of night! He probably was making trades, e.g., trading the first round draft pick.

The OSU lacrosse team was prepared for the cold; they all had insulated down jackets (looked warmer than HC's jackets). And they have played in the cold in the past.
