In 11 head-to-head team matches thus far, HC's record is 0-11 and 10-58 in individual matches. And the beat goes on....... This another HC sport where the goal is participation. The goal is NOT winning.

The goal for the team and its members IS winning. They have just not been able to reach it. If you think that any team feels good, or is even indifferent, losing every competition, you are mistaken.

yday's results vs. d.3 trinity pretty much sums up our program. some have suggested we maintain our men's and women's teams because the ncaa pays us to sponsor the sports. is the school that hard-up to get that check every year. I think not ! so stop the charade immediately.

Of course, constant losing is not fun for our players. That's the point. To build a heated buble containing at least three tennis courts is not that expensive. Or put the buble over our existing outdoor courts. Help our players gain some pride.

scheduling has no logic. so we beat d.3 franklin pierce on tuesday 7-0 for our first victory all season, then play against uconn yesterday and predictably lose 7-0, with all matches in straight sets, and total number of games won, in favor of uconn 93-2. the whole thing is screwed up. well, i hope the girls enjoy themselves. we play league competition tomorrow vs. colgate at home.
