The best teams i saw were the '67 and '68 UCLA squads They had Lew A. Plus the best college (overall it was Cooz-Sharman) backcourt ever in Lucius Allen and Mike Warren. Lynn Shackleford was a knock down shooter at forward. the Walton teams of '72 and '73 would be next. my favorite game, which I attended, was the '66 Texas western win over Kentucky. I was one of the only fans in Cole Field House rooting for my boys from NYC. next would be the 2 Villanova wins first game I remember watching was the exciting Loyola of Chicago win in '63 in OT on a buzzer tip in over 2 time defending champ Cincinnati most painful loss was Seton Hall to Michigan in OT (PJ is a friend) in '89' next would be Butler's loss when Hayward's buzzer shot missed in 2010

The loft on Shackleford's jumper made my nose bleed.

The 67-68 team finished 29-1 and was ranked #2. It eon its tournament games by 9,19, 32, 33 That 32 point semi final (thanks, Ky) win over Houston was revenge for their only loss to Houston when Alcindor had an eye injury, but still played.

I wonder how we would evaluate Kieth's brother Greg if he were on today's HC team? He always seemed to play in his younger brother's shadow.
