Junior Zoe Matherne has qualified for the NCAA Women's Track and Field Championships East Preliminary Round with her 800 meter time of 2:08. For comparison sake, it would have taken about a 1:49 for a male qualifier . The article notes that she is the third Crusader woman to make the NCAA's. I would also point out that Pia Iacova ex 83, scored in the discus before she transferred to Alabama but that was before the NCAA offered women's championships. It was an AIAW championship meet. www.goholycross.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=33100&ATCLID=211599490

We've had some good women runners in recent years with Caroline Carley and Hannah Jeter coming to mind in addition to Zoe
