How old was the osu player during this awful activity? From when he was 12 to when he was 15.

I would be shocked if Heimlich doesn't get drafted. Once you get to the later rounds, the odds of drafting someone who will eventually reach the major leagues is so slim that it's probably worth it to give him a chance. As horrible as the action he took was, he was between age 12-15 when it happened. Apparently has not had any legal issues since then and has been receiving counseling. How many chances did Matt Bush get? He drunkenly ran over the head of a motorcyclist and fled the scene of this accident a number of years ago but still managed to have someone willing to give him a shot. Putting alcoholism in the same ballpark as pedophilia is crazy talk. I don't think he's comparing pedophilia to alcoholism, but rather serious felony assault that would normally have killed the victim. Bush, btw, committed a number of assaults/felonies and likely was the perpetrator of two other hit and runs. All as an adult.

Got nothing to do with making the majors or not. Has to do with abysmal optics for any club that would take him, and comparing what Heimlich repeatedly did vs what Bush did is akin to comparing apples to bowling balls in the eyes of many. Hence why my prediction was wrong. While I don't think Bush deserved a chance either after committing multiple violent crimes as an adult, I can see how handing Heimlich an opportunity would open a franchise up to a PR nightmare. And the negative publicity firestorm wouldn't wait until he made the major leagues, it would happen now while he'd still be in the minors.

Yes I don't think either Bush or Heimlich could ever represent true comeback "feel good" stories like Josh Hamilton simply because both repeatedly hurt others. I could never root for either.
