General Admission price for all home games starts at $15. WHY? First, "nobody" goes to the games now. Just look at the THOUSANDS of empty seats. The attempt to minimize this by covering seats with large purple tarps is embarrassing. Second, there is loads of free competing entertainment today via cable and Internet. Third, Worcester is not an affluent town. LOWER THE PRICE TO $5. Finally.......put in permanent lights. With all the time, labor and expense being put in to marketing (check out the football ticketing/parking screens on HC's website. You'd think we were Alabama.), why are we not taking advantage of the potential for increased attendance represented by lights? Or.....if there is a good reason why lights are not coming, why can't TPTB just tell us what the reasons are instead leaving us to speculate ad nauseam like a bunch of jerks. Show us some respect.

What did NP say when you floated all your concerns to the person who can actually address them?
And individual game general admission tix start at $12 not $15.

I might have to almost agree with Sota today but first, a question. Do students get in for free just by showing their ID? I hope so. I would reduce the general admission ticket price to $8 and let kids 10 and under come for free and hope to make up the money on concessions. If we had lights and played at night, maybe we could get a bit more because it becomes a night out but not for Saturday afternoon. One of my wonderful daughters gave my wife and I Hartford Yard Goats tickets for last Friday night. (My wife suggested that one of my sons might enjoy the game more than her and stayed home.) We sat in nice $12 seats and paid $5 to park. There are $8 and $9 seats available. I have to say that AA Baseball is a bigger deal and a better deal than FCS football. Reduce the prices, hell, let everyone in for free or give them half the ticket price back in concessions. They need to make it fun.

That coupon to the concession stand sounds like a great idea..especially for local families.

As has been posted here many times, I guess Sarasota has missed it, lights at Fitton for football are very low priority on Pine's list of things to spend money on

Yes. Not sure what is confusing about the fact that Fitton is only usable for football games and therefore spending a million dollars on something that might be used once or twice a year seems a little silly. Probably something political or some conspiracy in the background around this.

From ticket prices to season ticket pre-sales without a schedule in place to "VIP" season ticket pre-sales and on and on, the whole ticketing situation has displayed an incredible lack of common sense from TPTB.

The Israeli Black Ops Commado Unit also had a skeleton crew at hoop games, though not shaking down fans like they did a FB games.

And individual game general admission tix start at $12 not $15. I called the HC box office. They told me the cheapest was $15.

Probably something political or some conspiracy in the background around this. As has been proven many times, build something and uses will be found. As I have opined before, I can think of many uses that will bring folks into Fitton. That's the first step in getting them comfortable with the idea of coming back for a football game. All it takes is IMAGINATION. And for the umpteenth time....given the size of HC's sports budget, a Million is PEANUTS. Also, your final sentence is just more speculation. Why do we have to settle for speculation? Don't you find it insulting? When folks don't want to state the reason for their action, don't you have to conclude that they fear the audience's reaction? It's common sense.....and......insulting to us alums who care about HC sports.

Presumably the tix office patched you though to NP's desk after you squawked about the tix prices - no?

Why would anyone pay $25. for a reserved seat when you can basically sit anywhere you want in the empty stadium? Also, I never attempted to get though to NP. The whole idea of treating the ticket situation as if the attraction is a hot commodity is laughable. (And I do understand the theory that attaching a high price on a commodity CREATES the impression of value in the mind of the purchaser inasmuch as I worked for Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller.)

It is a puzzling situation in many ways....the HC athletic office treats getting tickets to Fitton as if it were 1959 and we had a home openah against Penn St.
The dirty little secret is that you can get any ticket and sit between the 40s on ether side for all the games in 2017. It is what it is.

I saw Penn State (Galen Hall) and Syracuse (Ernie Davis) at Fitton. In Syracuse's national championship year, HC was their only opponent who led them at any time. Hard to erase those memories.

sarasota that was some Syracuse team. Unranked to start, #1 at the finish. A 42-6 walloping of Holy Cross and we scored first? Now that is a detail very few know. If the drubbing still hurts, at least we weren't Colgate that year (71-0 v Syracuse).

To give credit where it is due, the Athletics Office under ADNP is 180 degrees from where we were only a few years ago.
You boys do remember that, don't you?

General Admission price for all home games starts at $15. WHY? Group prices are significantly lower. Perhaps it is part of an overall strategy to encourage group as well season tix sales... rather than price for week to week for walk up sales. The above price allows plenty of head room for a group to charge a premium to its members. For an attractive game, a group of ten should consider calling the ticket office. My group [usually 40 to 50, approx. 50% from out of the area, with many non alums] has been purchasing tickets for several years for a specific game usually Homecoming. Since it is prepaid we bear the risk of bad weather, we do not charge a premium. About 10% of our tix are not picked up at 'will call'.

td128, we remember the old regime well. It had many flaws and was seen by many as moribund. But if I learned one thing at Holy Cross, it is that precious few things are black and white, good or bad, and that vast majority of things are nuanced and shades of gray.
But just as there were imperfections under the prior AD, let us not think for a second that policy and procedures today could not be improved upon.
For me, the net direction now, is positive. There is a LOT more communication than in the past and an obvious effort to professionalize the athletic department. Doing that however, tends to de-personalize the department with the good ole boys network gone when we could call our contact in the department for some personalized help and we have seen multiple examples of poor communiques with typos and misspellings that appear to not have been edited.
The biggest thing that Nate has brung to the Holy Cross table is his ability to shake loose the money tree and a great willingness to try things. The old way was "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" even when things were obviously broken. Conversely, Nate seems to want to break and re-build things to at least try to make them better. For me, that is the better way even though there will be mistakes made. Again, the net direction is positive.

I will continue my boycott (year 2) of HC FB season tickets until RSIG security is fired and the parking passes are included in the season ticket packages like before. Former season ticket holders should have been grandfathered into the new ticket system, BAD POLICY!

How does the prices at the Cross compare to your PL counterparts. I'll buy GA tickets when I come down for the UNH game.
