Since he is a redshirt sophomore (not due to injury), does he have 2 years of PL eligibility remaining or 3?

With all due respect to Fordham, this kid had offers to Harvard and other even more academically prestigious schools and, arguably Harvard is even better than Fordham in football. Any insights as to how he landed in the Bronx? Great catch, though.

Full athletic schollie v no athletic schollie. Depending on parent finances that might make a difference. Not sure most folks now see Fordham football as inferior to Harvard football. Or Harvard already stacked at QB. Or saw Fordham v HC last year and thinks Fordham is University of Alabama. Plus there maybe some Ivy rules that would limit his eligibility re his redshirt season. This is the sort of Flacco-type issue the CAA sees routinely. He's eligible this year and the cupboard is pretty bare behind the very good (grad student) QB Anderson.

HC's current roster has two from Alpharetta.
Hc has no openings at the QB position if one is looking to play right away.

Do you just have to be able to spell Fordham correctly to get into that school?

Do you just have to be able to spell Fordham correctly to get into that school? Higher board scores at Fordham now than at Holy Cross.

Foreign posters should be seen and not heard I don't consider myself a "foreign poster" having spent more years on Mt. St. James than any undergraduate. My gibes are meant to be playful and fraternal. I will, of course, continue to post with the intent to promote repartee and good natured affliction of the comfortable, and comfort to those of us afflicted with a love of Fordham. You guys will have your day again, but I hope it isn't on Nov. 4th in the Boogie Down. Good luck against UCON.

54 14 still stings huh? You'll get over it Of course and definitely. But that's OK. As fans we're allowed to feel the sting 9 months after such a horrible beating and we'll be OK in a year or two. I guess 12 years and 3 coaches isn't enough time to get over the sting of a double overtime basketball loss to HC where FU led up 5 with 15 seconds left in the game becasue the schools haven't played since then. But I do agree with nhteamer, stick around. Most of us do like having you here.

I have no qualms with freethef4....unlike some other PL postahs, he adds some levity and fun to the process...don't be a stranger.

Three words & one number: Atlantic. 10. Bottom. Feeder. The last time Fordham didn't have a losing A-10 record, Holy Cross still had Torey Thomas and Keith Simmons. That's how long it has been. Since then, FU has gone 29-121 (.193) in the A-10.

We can only hope that boston college's futility one day surpasses that of Fordham in the A-10, clearly the gold standard for really bad conference decisions.

And, hopefully, when and if Holy Cross gets its men's team into Hockey East, we won't suffer the same fate.

Boys boys boys, this is a football thread. If we want to kick poor old ramses around about hoop then let's move to that thread. I bleed maroon but have to concede our successes in round ball has been spotty since the day of Digger. Our current coach may be a scaliwag but he isn't a used car salesman, a lunatic,or a retread fraud. Two coaches, Nick and Tom Penders in 40 years. Still prefer A 10 to PL, and secretly so do you.
