I didn't golf yesterday, but since I did attend the dinner I thought I'd start a post for others to chime in with their feedback.
Dinner was great; good crowd, plenty of ex-players, including Jim McCaffrey, Myles Maguire, Brian Reale, Paul Durkee, Chris Logan, Kevin Greaney, Keith Driscoll, and I'm sure others that I'm forgetting. All the coaches were there, along with the junior class. Coach Carm spoke briefly.
Highlight of the night for me: watching Togo hold court out on the deck after dinner, with all the ex players surrounding him. Some really funny stories....but watching the guys all go up to him and give him big hugs was really, really cool. Everytime I see Togo now, I can't help but wish there was SOMETHING else they could do for him besides the jersey up in the rafters. After all, who has been more loyal to the program?

I didn't make the cut lol (was to the right of Coach Kennedy and his dad) speaking of pat kennedy, did he and carmody seem to have known each other well? i'm sure they crossed paths over the years as most head coaches do, but i would be curious to hear about their interaction. pat was obviously pretty successful, especially at florida state.

One of the funny exchanges of the evening, Coach Carm was speaking and "somehow" Jim McCafreys 40 plus point game in the Hart came up. Some of Jim's teammates chirped in that he "only" took about 37 shots to get those points..Lots of back and forth and good natured ribbing on this on point..Then it was pointed out to Coach Carm that the coach of the Iona team that night was sitting in the room! Coach Kennedy, who laughed and said it wasn't 40 points it was more like 48! Kennedy seems to be around a bit, but I have no idea how he interacts with Coach Carm... A very nice event, It was great for an old timer like me to see some of the alumni and what they are doing now... Plus the tour today was great...Come next March, I think everybody will love the Luth!!
..... Just to be accurate I checked on the Iona game....Jim M. had 46 points on 25 shots...AND he had 15 assists in the game!!
