Good to see the offense giving LaPlante some support. 4 is the second most goals we've scored in a game this season. We beat Lehigh 5-1 last Friday.

2-0 in the PL. Best start since . . .? Unfortunately, the two teams we have beaten are the only two teams picked to finish behind us in the preseason poll. Tough test at American next weekend. They are the defending champs and the favorite to repeat.

I love shooting this squad...top level forward and the goalie is fantastic but the program is going in the right direction now

HC wins 4-1 to earn a spot in the conference playoffs for the second straight year. Coach doing a very nice job with this squad. Excellent hire by Pine.

While men's soccer tries to secure a playoff spot tmro, the field hockey team plays in the PL semifinals today vs. BU (no.1 seed) in Boston at noon. An example of the lack of parity in the league as BU beat us earlier 8-1 in Worcester, out-shooting us 31-7. BU and American (vs. Bucknell today) are the powers in the league and likely will play for the championship on Sunday. Our senior Maureen Connolly has had an amazing career. She'll be missed

more respectable score this time losing 4-0, but just not even close regarding the respective talents. BU outshot us 26-2 (one of our shots was on goal). there really is no competition here. not really good for the league to have two teams with clear domination every year. Congrats to our team for a very good year anyway, and on to recruiting which clearly very critical to moving up.

Oh, shoot. This was another "Turnpike Trophy" game, right? Maybe next year, we'll win the trophy?

Bucknell eliminated American today in the other semi. A small victory for parity, although it will be very tough to take out Boston U on their home field. Its true that Boston and American gave been the two powerhouses, but it should be pointed out that both Bucknell and Lafayette have had undefeared regular seasons in the PL in the past 5 years. So some years have had parity.

AU and BostU spend about $300K more than the next tier of schools, which includes HC. Colgate is nearly $300K below HC.
The $300K differential between AU /BostonU and the next tier translates to about five full scoillies, or ten half scollies.
HC spending is up about $200K from four years ago. Colgatre appears to be de-emphasizing, and cutting fin aid.
