This team is a good head coach away from being a legitimate FCS threat. The talent is coming. The commitment seems to be there.

PP became only the second PL QB to throw for 11,000 yds The other— Dom, of course

Classy move by PP to have a senior come in for him on that last play. Cudos to PP that he did this. I have heard that more than one player practiced every day for four years and NEVER saw the field for one snap.
That's wrong on every level.

This is scholarship Division 1 football....no guaranteed play time. That's pop warner stuff.

In all the blowouts for and against a kid NEVER sees the field? That's BS (that's how Rudy got in!!!)
If it doesn't make sense then why did PP do it? That mindset plus the "MFing" everyone in sight is short-sightedness.
That's not toughness, that's meanness. The players don't respect that.

We're making a lot of assumptions about that backup QB's work ethic, etc.

BTW, where did anyone get the idea that PP took himself out? Isn’t that the coach’s call. I read nothing or heard nothing Peter did that.
Not taking anything away from him, just the board seems to never making assumptions here.

Watching on the computer, it did seem (and the announcers commented on it) that PP started to go out on the field, came back and talked to the coaches, and then McHale went in for the final snap.

He clearly starts out, goes over to the coach - gesturing back to the bench and then goes over and tells his sub to go in. No, I could not hear every word, but IMO it clearly shows that is what happened.

Yes, Rob, watched the entire video live. Did not recall that. Otherwise I wouldn’t have asked. While I am pretty hard of hearing, I am pretty good at reading body language and my audiologist and ENT docs say I do a great job at lip reading, I missed this.

It did go by quickly, but if you go back, I think you will see what others have commented on. If I had been at the game (or went for a bathroom break), I might not have picked up on it.

I'm surprised PP didn't attempt to bring the senior QB in in the first half given what appeared to a general lack of enthusiasm on his part. This isn't really necessary. Stay classy.
