Too bad no couplet at Wofford and Furman. Both Niagara and Canisius have baseball. That might make for a nice early March road trip. About as attractive as a basketball road trip in the winter.

We were at Niagara Falls after Syracuse game last year, November was gorgeous up there and no crowds. Could be nice OOC weekend

Furman and Wofford would be an excellent couplet in the spring time. They have a Red Sox minor league team in Greenville which has the green monster. I’d be there in a second rooting on the Crusaders. @houston Cougars Feb 16 17 18 FWIW gonna be cold in Norman

The team played a weekend set against Furman in 2016. Nice school in a nice town but it's probably too early to go back. Georgia Southern was a spring trip opponent in 2014. No players on the team now were players then. Mercer has not been an opponent that recently. If we've played either Houston or Oklahoma it was long ago, I think. Those teams will be a tremendous challenge given the loss of a big senior class but it's consistent with Coach D's strategy to face ranked or possibly ranked teams right out of the gate. When you look at HC's PL record under D, facing very tough opponents early seems to have paid dividends. It's tough to get used to the idea that what starts like 3-12 can turn into a good season but that has happened more than once.

Actfact - the Furman/Wofford couplet reference is just an inside joke on ncaam from when he posted on an old crossports forum under a different screen name that crashed for good a year and a half ago.

At Northeastern for a twin bill on March 17, and in Worcester for one on March 18.
