Those names do sound familiar. barring something really bad, we should add another name to that list late this season and, in getting way ahead of myself, how many more in 4 years ?

Maybe if you addressed him by his proper name "Sir Charles Bare" he will release it.

I see that as possible, but balanced production might work against them all being able to make it.

I will take a four, Vana. Four's a lot, but Brian Wilson, Pat Whearty, and Tim Szatko all agree that 3 is possible It's fun to speculate, but 2 games aren't quite enough data points to project career totals

I think in today’s game, especially under Carmody, the scoring is more evenly distributed than the days of Jack the Shot, Ron Perry, Jr., et. al.
And that’s a good thing since opposing teams can’t focus on one or two players.

And significantly lower scoring

And significantly lower scoring Much lower than the 61 ppg of the last 2 seasons? I think a question is, is the 1000 pts career as indicative of a 'scorer' as it once was. Is Rich Murphy's 999 pts over 3 season [70+/- games? ] less of an accomplishment than those who achieved 1000 by averaging >10 ppg in 100+ games? How 'bout categorizing the 1000 pts scorers by ppg? e.g 20+, 15+ etc

That sounds like a good idea. Rich Murphy's 999 has always bugged me since he got to play for only 3 years back in the day. How about players who averaged over 250 points a year for three years...Rich averaged 333 a year! We got a good one from All Hallows when we got Rich.

Rich was a senior when I was a freshman manager of the basketball team. I remember rooting for him to get one more basket in that last game so he could hit 1000. Very good basketball player, and an even better person.
